Subject: MY COMMITTMENT
Hi, I'm Tim (20 year old Sagittarian) and I've been interested in saving
this planet for a long time not only from pollution and destroying animals and
the rainforests, etc....but also from the corruption and materialism that
plagues this earth. I tend to be a little cynical and even pessemistic at
times, although I try not to be. I just want every human being on this planet
to reach their inner spiritual selves and learn to love creation instead of
their own financial bullshit (excuse the language, I get very emotional) I
just want people to learn to love eachother and help eachother live a more
peaceful lifestyle and to get away from the evils of power, money, and GREED.
We need to act NOW. I want to help and I will in any way, shape or form. I am
sick and tired of living up to this society's standards of behavior which goes
against my very essence of living. Please please please get this New Year's
thing going so the new Millenium can be one of love and spirituality. Please
I'm begging all of you. I can't take the world in this present condition, it's
driving me out of my mind. Thanks for putting up with my babbling, :- )

Yes, have them contact me.
I thought it would be pretty simple, just contact the single largest
agricultural association in Canada..now, it looks like there may not be one.
We must threaten (promise) to sue the agricultural associations, and
goverments and demand these crops be stopped. If they make a committee, then
we must educate its members. I will find out more info tomorrow as I'll
call some major chains and talk to their grocery supervisors, or head office
people. We need their help, too.
And thanks for the info, takes some pressure off...

I should have some campaign information by this afternoon. The Peter M. Ligotti
<pmligotti@earthlink.net> fellow (in CA) (who sent the Global Action Plan called
Total Internet System To Stop GE Food) and I are going to work together. But I'm
reducing his pages as this comes out to 21 and most people just won't read that. I've spoken with
the Produce Director for Thrifty Foods (they have 15 stores on the Island) and he
gave me some detailed market information, and blamed this situation on the public.
They're buying these potatoes back east...; ||
Can you please send out this plea for those committed to taking basic
information to poster boards and health food stores and working on this
campaign to please come forth or whatever they feel like doing, could those
people now step forward? We need to know who they are and where they are so
we can try to fill in the gaps. They don't need to know everything (who
does!) they just need to want to help.

Agri-food company in the world after Noventis (FR) and Avartis (CH). They
produce Aspartame, DDT, Agent Orange and "The Terminator Seed." This seed
is covered with an antibacterial agent called "Roundup," which is meant to kill
any potential bugs and grow for only one year. It's capable of surviving loads of
pesticide without dying, and can modify farmer's crops.

What a fascinating time it is. We're seeing amazing changes in people -
one friend actually sat in a room for 15 minutes with her son and he didn't
see or hear her when she spoke. She's been having extraordinary
experiences of becoming Light. She, along with many others, is finding
she's not having to eat hardly at all. There's even a word in the
consciousness now for those who live on light - breatharians. How about
that!!! Other reports from friends are saying that they're seeing people
around them open their hearts and become empathic (one woman had five
people in one week this happened to - people she was sure wouldn't shift).
If you don't believe the world around you is changing, just look into the
hearts of the people. This is a grassroots movement. You probably won't
see it in the systems and governments just yet, but you will as this
grassroots movement becomes a groundswell of bright consciousness that
lights up everything

Berito Kuwar U'wa is a leader of the U'wa people, an indigenous group in
Colombia that is struggling to regain control of their traditional land.
The U'wa people have a traditional constitution that was created many
years ago. We look at the way that life works and the way life is
interrelated.
The petroleum companies create their own constitutions and decrees with
a computer. They plant the seeds of this constitution all over the
entire world, and it's not for the benefit of the world. It's for the
benefit of their country and themselves.
The petroleum companies believe that they can be the landlords of the
world, that they can control the whole world until it ends. Until it
dies.
The money that the U'wa have is the Earth. Everything that we make, that
we sow, that we grow, we also consume in our community. We don't have to
sell it, and we don't have to buy things. The U'wa don't need money to
build a house, for example. When we want to build a house, we plant a
cassava plant. Then we take the cassava and make a drink called chicha,
which is like our money. We pay people with chicha to come and help
build the house.
As we say, "The sun is the money." The Earth is also money - it's our
gold. The water is also our gold. That's what we value. The Earth is
what gives us everything that we need to live, to eat, and to drink. The
light that the sun gives, the moon, our relationship with the moon -
these are things that we need to value so that life can continue.
We need light, because right now we are hungry. If we are hungry and we
need food, where does that food come from? It comes from light; it comes
from the Earth.
You should think about water. What is water worth? How do you value it?
Water should be free for everyone. But now we're supposed to pay the
government for water, when the water is born from our territory. Water
is a benefit for everyone. All the world has property rights over water.
But the government makes this law so the campesinos - farmers - have to
pay. And it's very sad. It shouldn't be this way.
The government wants to have $40 billion in its bank. U'wa, all of us
equally, are very poor. The bank that we have is the Earth, so we
respect many things. We don't kill each other. There's nobody who has
more money than anybody else. There's not this sense of inequality. If
somebody doesn't have food, for example, then a person with food needs
to give it to the one without. The poor help those who are even poorer.
That is the U'wa.
We have always said that we don't want to enter the culture of money.
Our word for it is "the number of money." That's what we call their
culture.Why? There's this mountain of money that only some people have.
Tomorrow we will fight over that money, brother against brother.
No, that simply doesn't work. It would be good if the people in America
understood the organizational structures of the indigenous people of the
world. The indigenous people have the most ancient structures of the
world, and they have a kind of intelligence that is very concrete and
complete. I've seen indigenous people from many parts of the world, and
we are all almost exactly equal.
Our hearts give us the intelligence to know we shouldn't rule the
world.There are many laws in the world, but no one thinks to protect
Mother Earth. But I think that if the petroleum companies continue to
exploit the petroleum, they will take all of the strength and spirit out
of Mother Earth. If they do this, if they take it all, then we're all
going to die.
That's why I said to one of these petroleum men, "Take all of that money
you make and stuff it into the Earth, and see if it sustains life. That
money won't sustain anyone."

The U'wa: the "thinking people" of Colombia
The U'wa are known as "the thinking people" or "the people that speak
well," because for thousands of years they maintained peaceful
relationships with surrounding tribes without the use of weapons or war.
From 1940 to 1970, the Colombian governnment took away more than 85% of
U'wa traditional territory. Since 1940, contact diseases, violence, and
loss of land have killed more than 18,000 U'wa. Two U'wa clans were
completely exterminated. The current territory of the U'wa is barely 386
square miles, far too small to produce enough food to sustain the tribe.
In 1992, Los Angeles-based Occidental Petroleum was granted exploration
rights to much of the traditional U'wa territory in a combined venture
with Shell Oil and the Colombian government.
U'wa tradition recounts that a portion of the U'wa tribe committed
suicide 400 years ago rather than surrender to the Spanish
Conquistadores. The U'wahave compared current developments on their land
to that time in their history, and have not ruled out another mass
suicide.

US kidnapping victims dead
Three bodies found near Venezuela's border with Colombia yesterday were
believed to be those of Americans kidnapped in Colombia on January 25.
The authorities said they had been shot.
Ingrid Wasinawatok, aged 41, Terence Freitas, aged 24, and Lahe'ena'e
Gay,aged 39, were seized at a reservation 200 miles from Bogota, where
they were working with the U'wa Indians, who won a lawsuit against
Occidental Petroleum in 1997 that prevented the Los Angeles-based
company from exploratory drilling on traditional U'wa territory.

In the three weeks since the Federal Communications Commission settled a
dispute involving how phone companies pay each other for connecting
calls to the Internet, William Kennard's inbox has been overflowing.
The FCC chairman has been receiving an average of 600 emails a day,
"many from angry Internet users," worried that the commission is about
to impose far-reaching regulations on the Internet.
Ain't gonna happen, Kennard said Thursday.
While it's clear that the "FCC and the FCC alone has jurisdiction over
Internet traffic," Kennard said, the agency has no plans and no desire
to regulate the medium.
"As long as I am chairman of the FCC, we will not regulate the
Internet," Kennard said in a Washington, DC, address.
The FCC's decision last month settled a long-standing dispute between
phone companies over how to classify a dialup call to access the
Internet. Small carriers wanted the FCC to classify the calls as local
traffic. Regional phone companies wanted the calls classified as
interstate, so that they wouldn't have to share a cut of their revenues
with competitors.
The Commission took the middle ground in the dispute. The agency agreed
that because Internet users bounce to Web sites all over the world,
calls to access the Net shouldn't really be classified as local.
Nevertheless, the agency ruled that connections to the Internet should
still be exempt from long-distance charges.
But since then, Kennard said, rumors have spread "that the FCC is going
take all those old phone regulations and dump them on the Internet --
that people are going to have to pay long-distance charges to get on the
Internet."
Kennard said that's the last thing he wants.
"Anyone who knows anything about the Internet knows that its freedom is
its strength," he said. "And anyone who knows anything about me knows
that I am committed to creating a telecom marketplace that is free from
unnecessary regulation and full of robust competition."

Thank you for the many messages, I enjoy the perspectives of your friends
so much and have been telling my friends to register their names with you
to receive your correspondence. I believe that the views expressed are so
valuable. I thank and honour you for the service you are providing.
We have sent Vol4 Iss 2 of the ELOHIM to the printers - the concept of
"Reconciling the God/Goddess" developed partly from our communication.
Many of our contributing writers jumped at the chance to expand on the
aspects of the polarity that is within us and the balance we ned to find in
our lives. It will be a great issue.
Did I send you the first ELOHIM Journal? I can't remember - please send me
your mailing address. When your eyes get tired of the screen you can
browse the pages! Since talking with you last, we have expanded into the
UK and South Africa - life is getting very exciting,
Here is something I would like to share with your many friends in this
unique "club" that you have developed. As the result of the "passing" of
several close aquaintances in recent weeks we felt that the next issue
should be based on TRANSITION, Death, Separation and Grief. Our focus was
on the human death experience, but in reading one of your articles I had
this insight which I feel obliged to share.
Everyone is becomming increasingly aware of the Y2K Crisis that is only 9
months away. The media is starting to also become aware that it has the
platform of the millenium on which to create news story after news story,
all building anxiety and fear in their readers.
I have come to realise that the Y2K possibly holds the greatest teaching
for the developed world and its peoples. The opportunity is for us, as the
"wayshowers", to first realise and acknowledge the benefit of this event.
No matter that no one really knows how great the impact will be and perhaps
because of this, the power of the crisis as a focal point for humanity is
enormous.
From my perspective the Y2K is about one thing only and it is this thing
that is causing most of the pain on the planet - ATTACHMENT. It is
attachment that binds us to the 3 Dimension. It is our ball and chain that
is preventing our Soul from completing our experience, we will not let go!
It is the attachment to "the way we believe it is" that is keeping us
chained in a mind set that will not allow us our freedom.
It does not matter if we are attached to loved ones that "pass over", to
our BMW, fine wines, art, relationships, pets or pure expectation that
presenting my Visa card gets me cash. Every attachment locks us into this
experience - this "reality" we have created through group consciousness.
So how would you go about engineering a group consciousness "change of
mind" , to break the chains on this "way of thinking". Certainly
earthquakes will upset a few, the odd volcanic eruption, a big tidal wave
might wake people up. But what a mess and will that really achieve the
goal? But something like the possible disruption to all technology -
affecting alll aspects of their lives on which we have become so dependent
- that will definately catch people out and have them re- evaluating their
way of thinking, beliefs, values and behaviour to themselves, each other
and the planet.
I do not see disaster in Y2K, but instead the opportunity for huge
awakening throughout the world. It will all depend on how it is perceived
and how ATTACHED we are to the way we expect our lives to be. Its all
about TRANSITION. Death of the old ways, Separation from the attachment to
how things must be, and grief for their passing. So now we have a much
greater perspective for the next issue of ELOHIM.
I am encouraging everyone I meet to look beyond the fear of breakdown of
systems, to letting go of HOW IT MUST BE. Those of us who have already
done this or are doing this, know that nothing can hurt us and that once we
place our trust back in ourselves then life becomes so blessed and so
beautiful that you actually shift into a new dimension with a new paradigm
of living. The whole world can do this - it is not limited to just a few.
Lets get together and defuse Y2K fears at the the outset. Its going to
happen to some degree. Let us look to the greater benefit and embrace the
opportunity of transition within the experience.
I would really like to hear the expanded views of others on this. ELOHIM

Hello Jean,
I am always glad to make the acquaintance of a light worker. I am Monica
Willard and work as and NGO at the UN with Pathways to Peace and The
Wittenberg Center for Alternative Resources. I am most interested in the web
page that was mentioned in Rob Wheeler's e-mail that gives background for a
peace vigil call at this time.
Easter and Passover share a common weekend this year. There is a Season for
Nonviolence that runs from January 30-April 4 each year to commemorate the
assassinations of Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr. April 4 is
Easter. I share this with you in case a date has not been set. (NOTE: No specific
date has been set, It is an ongoing Peace Vigil at the time of the day that best
suits you.)
Calling on the forces of those who have died and live in another realm have
been with me since I met this woman at the Earth Summit in 1992. She was
French and made a plea in French that was translated calling for those of us
who were working on a Prayer Vigil for the conference to call out for the
"spirits". She claimed that they spoke to her and that nothing will happen
without reconnecting to God. With the reconnection we will not be able to
comprehend the swiftness in a turnaround.
Like you, like the Hopi, like so many, I believe that we are in a special
moment. If there is some way that we can connect to a prayer vigil, I will
gather people together.
Robert Mueller is meeting at the UN with people tomorrow and Thursday. I
would appreciate any information on a projected date to share with the groups
gathered. There is also a sculpture exhibit titled "One Thousand Years of
Peace" currently on exhibit at the UN. The work of Mimi Sammis is exquisite
and inspiring!

Scientists Predict Violent Solar Storm...03/18/99

As if Y2K weren't enough, there's another millennial menace to dread:
solar storms.
Scientists expect a violent solar storm "perhaps the worst in a
century" to strike sometime between now and January 2001. It may fry the
insides of satellites, knock out power supplies, and generally wreak
havoc on a technology-dependent society.
It will all start with a coronal mass ejection a violent discharge of
electrically charged gas from the sun's outer atmosphere. The explosion
will hurl some ten billion tons of gas into space at speeds up to a
million miles (1.6 million kilometers) an hour.
Four days and 93 million miles (150 million kilometers) later, the storm
will tear through Earth's magnetic field.
WORRIES AND WARNINGS
Solar storms have struck hard before. On March 13, 1989, a solar storm
caused a power outage in Quebec, Canada, that left six million people
without electricity. Last year a smaller storm was blamed for bringing
down the Galaxy 4 satellite, halting news transmissions and pagers
across North America for days. Fortunately, NASA space scientists
announced on March 9 that they have found a way to forecast solar storms
a few days in advance, giving satellite and power companies time to
prepare for potential trouble.
The scientists discovered that an S-shaped structure appears on the sun
in advance of a violent eruption. The S is called a sigmoid, a twisting
of the sun's magnetic field. "Early warnings of approaching solar storms
could prove useful to power companies, the communications industry, and
organizations that operate spacecraft, including NASA," said a statement
from George Withbroew, a NASA scientist. "This is a major step forward
in understanding these tremendous storms."
With advanced warning, satellite companies can turn off high voltages on
their satellites before the plasma cloud hits them, and power companies
can briefly turn off parts of the grid until the surge of current
passes.
A paper on the S-shaped sigmoids was published in the March 15 issue of
Geophysical Research Letters.

Subject: This is for real folks!
Deadly Shampoo (not a joke)
Check the ingredients listed on your shampoo bottle, and see if they
have a substance by the name of Sodium Laureth Sulfate, or simply SLS.
This substance is found in most shampoos, and the manufacturers use it
because it produces a lot of foam and it is cheap.
BUT the fact is that SLS is used to scrub garage floors, and it is very
strong. It is also proven that it can cause cancer in the long run, and
this is no joke. I went home and checked my shampoo (Vidal Sasoon); it
doesn't contain it; however, others such as Vo5, Palmolive, Paul
Mitchell, the new Hemp Shampoo contains this substance. The first
ingredient listed (which means it is the singlemost prevalent
ingredient) in Clairol's Herbal Essences is Sodium Laureth Sulfate.
So I called one company, and I told them their product contains a
substance that will cause people to have cancer. They said, "Yeah, we
knew about it but there is nothing we can do about it because we need
that substance to produce foam.
By the way Colgate toothpaste also contains the same substance to
produce the "bubbles". They said they are going to send me some
information. Research has shown that in the 1980s, the chance of getting
cancer is 1 out of 8000 and now, in the 1990s, the chances of getting
cancer is 1 out of 3, which is very serious.
So I hope that you will take this seriously and pass this on to all the
people you know, and hopefully, we can stop "giving" ourselves the
cancer virus.
This is serious, after you have read this, pass it on to as many people
as possible, this is not a chain letter, but it concerns our health.

"New Studies Uncover Amazing Evidence of: Messages of love from beyond the
grave"
If you've ever gotten a message from a dead friend or relative you're not
alone ~ millions of everyday people have received them, according to top
parapsychologists Bill and Judy Guggenheim, authors of the groundbreaking
book, "Hello From Heaven!"
Based on over 10 years of study and more than 5,000 cases of 'after death
communications,' or ADCs, the Guggenheims conclude that such messages are
almost always loving and sometimes life-saving.
"If you've had an ADC you're not crazy - we estimate 50 million [Americans]
from all walks of life have had them," Judy told the Enquirer.
"These messages are usually loving and comforting," added Bill. "Deceased
loved ones often communicate to ease the pain of grieving survivors. They
also bring useful messages and sometimes warn the living of danger." The
Guggenheims said messages from the dead can come in many forms, including
visions, dreams, phone calls, and phantom touches or odors. Here are some of
the most fascinating cases from their files:
'Lock the windows'
A college student dreams of her dead grandfather. In the dream the old man
urgently screamed, "Lock the windows! You're supposed to remember to take
care of yourself!" The girl woke and locked the windows, including one over
the fire escape. Later that night a man came up the fire escape and broke
into a room nearby.
'It's beautiful over here'
A woman had a vision of her father who said, "It's all right, honey. It's
beautiful over here, so don't you worry." He laughed, adding "Now I don't have
to pay for all that furniture your mom and sister bought." Within minutes she
got a phone call saying her father had just died of a heart attack. And not
long afterward, she received a letter from her mother saying she and the
sister had bought a house full of furniture right before her father died!
'A secret from beyond'
A woman was visited by a dead male friend who asked her to tell his wife to
look for an insurance policy she didn't know about hidden in a chest in the
bedroom. When his wife look, the policy was there.
'A guardian angel'
A woman with a 9-month-old baby woke one night to see the figure of her dead
mother standing in the doorway looking worried. The figure led the way to the
baby's bedroom and motioned for the woman to enter, then disappeared. The
woman checked on her baby, found she was choking on a piece of plastic, and
was able to save her!
'Her father's voice'
A California woman heard the voice of her dead father urge her to check on her
elderly mother's financial situation. She discovered that her mom was being
robbed of thousands by a young neighbor who was signing her name to blank
checks!
The Guggenheims urge Enquirer readers who have had ADCs to talk about them.
