Subject: Various feedbacks and updates on recent emails to you + some interesting gems

Hello everyone

I'm back from Montreal with waaay too many emails to process, I've not been able to catch up yet. I'm now sending you this and will have *much more* soon as I have numerous emails being readied.

To those in the US: Make sure to watch the show EXTRA on TV tonight (Friday very late!) as they'll show an amazing extraterrestrial "Starchild" skull found 70 years ago by a young girl in a cave in New Mexico and with its DNA now being analyzed. I saw the preview and it is astounding!

We DO live in interesting times!

ANNOUNCING A RADIO PROGRAM FOR THIS FRIDAY

Listen to SIGHTINGS this Friday, November 12th

There will be interview you won't want to miss this Friday at 7pm PST on
Jeff Rense's show at http://sightings.com.

Several of us will speak out against LFAS Low Frequency Active Sonar. If
you miss it, there will be an archived recording available on the site for
you to catch at a later time. You will want to hear this program.

The program will include Mr. Lanny Sinkin, Dr. Lee Tepley, Dr. Marsha
Green and myself. We plan to be on the show for an hour or a little more.
This will be a hard-hitting panel discussion which asks some serious
questions about LFA Sonar technology, it's potential harm to marine life
and the legal significance of what this process has involved.

Thank you,

Subject: *Alert* Navy's permit to harass marine mammals with LFA Sonar
Date: Thu, Nov 11, 1999, 3:46 AM

Dear Lovers of the Whales and Dolphins and Guardians of Safe Oceans,

The Navy is up to more mischief in their quest for having the Low
Frequency Active (LFA) Sonar deployed in 80% of the Earth's oceans. Well
before the public comment was over on their draft environmental impact
statement, the US Navy filed for a permit with the National Marine
Fisheries Service (NMFS) to deploy LFAS for 5 years, asking for
permission to "harass marine mammals" with "an incidental take"
(incidental take = killing) of marine mammals, some of which are on the
endangered species list. Horrendous! ... plus it shows the Navy's total
disregard for (some might even say contempt for) the environmental impact
statement process, which is to say, US Law. Please read the following
article by Lanny Sinkin for more information in this regard.

We are in another public comment period, this time with the NMFS on this
new Navy permit. This comment period ends Friday, 11/22/99. Please
comment... tell them how you feel.

Write your elected officials. Spread this message far and wide. Don't be
part of the silent majority.

NATIONAL MARINE FISHERIES SERVICE DECEIVING PUBLIC

Recently, there have been newspaper articles and radio broadcasts telling
the public that the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is seeking
public comment on the safety of the new low frequency active sonar system
the Navy intends to deploy. These articles and broadcasts are an effort
by the NMFS to deliberately deceive the public.

The history is that the Navy issued the draft of their environmental
impact statement (DEIS) for this sonar system in July 1999. The public
had until October 28 to comment on the adequacy of that draft.

One obvious inadequacy of that draft was that the Navy did not mention
any of the evidence from their testing off the Island of Hawai`i. That
evidence included whales leaving the testing area and a snorkeler
traumatized by a broadcast.

Without waiting to receive - let alone analyze - the public comments, the
Navy filed an application with the NMFS requesting a permit to deploy the
sonar system for five years. The application relies on the draft
environmental impact statement to argue that the system will have negligible environmental effects.

As part of a draft environmental impact statement, the law required the
Navy to consider what is termed the "No Action Alternative." This
alternative would be a decision that the environmental impacts of the system are too great to allow the system to be deployed.

That the Navy would apply for a permit to deploy the system before
completing the EIS demonstrates that the Navy is not seriously
considering the no deployment option. The application also demonstrates
that the Navy is conducting a sham environmental impact process in which
the comments of the public do not matter.

PRESS RELEASE

On November 7, 1999, Robert Cohen began a hunger strike to draw
attention to the fact that America's milk and dairy products are now
hazardous to consumers' health. Hundreds of people around the world
have already joined Robert Cohen on his hunger strike, and there will be
thousands more.

Mr. Cohen has filed a suit (FDA citizen's petition - docket

hormone (rbGH) from the market claiming that it poses a serious health
risk to all humans.

According to Cohen:

1) Monsanto made an error by creating a "freak" amino acid
2) Lab animals treated with rbGH got cancer
3) Levels of hormones in rbGH-treated milk increase
4) Blood serum levels of milk hormones increase in milk drinkers

Hello brother Jean

A brief message of good wishes from us here before you go on TV. South
Africa (and hence Africa) is being seen by Monsanto et al as a soft
alternative if European markets become too difficult. Our new politicians
are no match for the conniving of these guys. We have quite a vociferous
lobby going here, but the facts seldom gain prominence.

Please ask the TV studio people to send me details of the program so I can

Love to you and yours,

Jeremy

THANKS JEREMY ;-) I DON'T BELIEVE THE TV PEOPLE IN QUEBEC WOULD DO WHAT YOU ASK. LET'S JUST SAY THE ONE HOUR SHOW CALLED "DROIT DE PAROLE" (RIGHT TO SPEAK) PITS 2 GROUPS OF ABOUT 12 PEOPLE EACH DEFENDING OPPOSING VIEWS ON ANY GIVEN TOPIC FOR EACH SHOW - QUITE LIVELY SOMETIME! AND THE VIEWING AUDIENCE PHONE IN DURING THE SHOW TO VOTE ON THE TOPIC (THERE WERE ABOUT 140 PEOPLE WILLING TO EAT GM FOODS VERSUS OVER 750 AGAINST IT ON THAT SHOW'S POLL!) BUT WITH SUCH SHORT TIME AVAILABLE FOR EACH PERSON, I COULD SPEAK (TWICE) FOR BARELY 30 SECONDS. YET, OVERALL, MANY IMPORTANT ANTI-GM ASPECTS WERE PROPERLY COVERED BY MY GROUP.

What I plan to do for Y2K is to accumulate lots of rice, beans, nuts, dried fruits, grains (barley, oats, etc.), split peas, lentils and lots of canned goods -- soups, canned fruit juice, etc. -- you get the idea -- all from discount markets. IF Y2K comes to pass, then I'm prepared. If not, all this stuff goes to the local food bank on Jan. 2! Either way, you're a winner.

AND A GOOD NEWS FROM A CO-FOUNDER OF THIS EARTH RAINBOW NETWORK...

From: "steve diamond" <ommm7@rain.org>
Subject: Fw: One Day In Peace, January 1, 2000 & United Nations....
Date: Thu, 11 Nov 1999

Dear friends:

Thanks to the remarkable efforts of Robert Silverstein, the NGO
Representative from the non-profit Pathways to Peace, and co-director of the
"One Day In Peace, January 1, 2000" campaign, the concept and the words
proposing humanity's first day of worldwide ceasefire will be going before
the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday, November 16, 1999.

Costa Rica's U.N. Ambassador, Ms. Amelia de Barish, has proposed a
resolution supporting the University for Peace, which is chartered by U.N.
vote. To that resolution has been added a beautifully succinct paragraph
about "One Day In Peace, January 1, 2000."

The fact that the resolution has been presented by a woman ambassador, is,
in my humble opinion, not a coincidence. Ambassador de Barish, is, after
all, speaking for Mother Earth. The fact that it is coming from tiny
peaceful Costa Rica, a nation with no standing army, should be noted as
well.

The full information and actual addendum can be seen at:

http://www.oneday.net/upaz.jpg

Here's the text:

Preambular Paragraph:

Considering that by its Resolution 52/15 of 20th November, 1997, the
General Assembly declared the Year 2000 as "International Year for the Culture of Peace" its initiation should be "One Day In Peace, January 1, 2000."

Operative paragraph:

Invites Member States, Inter-Governmental Oranizations, Non Governmental
Organizations and all the Peoples of the world to celebrate "One Day In
Peace, January 1, 2000".

24-hours with no violence -- on the battlefields, in the neighborhoods, or in
the homes on January 1, 2000. To usher in the new millennium on a note of world peace.

I ran with the Cloth of Many Colours Project with James Twyman. My mother
and I set up a morning in our local Friends Meeting House for people to
come and put their vision of world peace into small pieces of fabric which
we will send to James and he is going to sew (hopefully 5 million) together
making a huge peace banner. It was very sucessful and a wonderful
opportunity to outreach "Peace Prevails on Earth" to the local community.
The idea being that it is already here not focusing on the lack of peace by
praying for it, just praying peace. Took me a while to get the concept but
I am using it in lots of areas now.

Hope all is well with you ,

Subject: Re: The Anti-Establishment Files

Hi Jean!

My (unsolicited?) comment on the hormonal beef situation in Europe: "supply and demand". (they sow bad product, they'll reap bad profit.) If the European
consumers simply "don't buy" the US beef, then the WTO's "bad decision" would
naturally backfire on the US beef industry, as well as on the 'in on it for the
money' retailers in Europe. Not that we should tell them "we warned you to not do it", but sowing bad decisions always has a way of reaping a bad harvest. It's no one's fault but the 'farmer'. They'll spend the money on getting the bad beef over there, the European "in it for the money" retailers will stock their shelves with it, but then nobody will consume it. What a waste for those who chose to make the "bad decision"... but what a victory for the consumers of Europe and for those of us that were able to help them by giving them the information, which is power. Not that I WANT to damage anybody financially... but I will help my fellow man.

Besides, I couldn't possibly damage the US beef subverters because I can't control the supply and demand of hormonal beef... or can I? Knowledge is power. I think the possibility exists that we're barking up the wrong tree by fighting the battle politically. Why not go ahead and let the government do it "their way", and thus declare a health war on the Europeans, and then let the people win the battle by making a good decision in response to the government's bad decision... by using their power... abstinence? They declare war physically... and we win by using the power of knowledge PEACEFULLY, right? They can't fight that!!!

The WTO has shown that it is able to get the hormonal been into the ports of Europe, but while they are strong in that respect, they are weak in this.... they cannot sit down to dinner with every European consumer and force it into their mouths! I know we don't buy stuff we don't like when we're strolling through the grocery store and we don't patronize restaurants that don't sell the kind of food we feel comfortable in eating, either. Are not Europeans any different than we Americans? "humanity"... there are two kinds... those in darkness and those in light. But does not darkness disappear when the light is turned on? Pursue victory by way of peace.. the most mpowerful way to prove that peace is good, anyway, right? Why not just warn the government and the beef industry to not make the bad decision, so that when (HAVE FAITH here) they reap what they sowed (selfishness reaps nothing), they will respect us for having "tried to help them spare themselves the grief". Can they hate us for that? Maybe. But they won't be able to look themselves in the mirror and feel good about themselves.

Peace on Earth!

Deb

MY COMMENT: THEN IF IT IS SO EASY AND NATURAL FOR EUROPEAN CONSUMERS TO ABSTAIN FROM EATING CARCINOGENIC HORMONE-BOOSTED BEEF, WHY IS IT THAT AMERICAN CONSUMERS JUST EAT THE STUFF AND DON'T BOTHER ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES? ARE THE EUROPEAN MORE HEALTH-CONSCIOUS AND TAKING A GREATER RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN HEALTH AND LIFE THAN THE AMERICANS?...

The Butterfly

One day as a small opening appeared on a cocoon, a man sat for several hours
watching the butterfly struggle to force its body through that little hole.
Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten
as far as it could and it could go no further. So the man decided to help
the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit
of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily, but it had a swollen body
and small, shriveled wings. The wings would enlarge and expand to be able to
support the body, which would contract in time. Neither happened.

In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a
swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly. What the man, in
his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon
and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening
was nature's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its
wings. Then the butterfly would be ready for flight once it achieved its
freedom from the cocoon. Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our
life. If we were allowed to go through our life without any obstacles, it
would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could be. We could
never fly.

Subject: "Miracle of a Brothers Song" (true story)

Like any good mother, when Karen found out that another baby was on the way, she did what she could to help her 3 year old son, Michael, prepare for a new sibling. They found out that the new baby was going to be a girl, and day after day, night after night, Michael sang to his little sister in Mommy's tummy. He was building a bond of love with his little sister before he even met her. The pregnancy progressed normally for Karen, an active member of the Panther Creek United Methodist Church in Morristown, Tennessee. In time, the labor pains came. Soon it was every five minutes, every three, every minute. But serious complications arose during delivery and Karen found herself in hours of labor. Would a C-section be required? Finally, after a long struggle, Michael's little sister was born. But she was in very serious condition. With a siren howling in the night, the ambulance rushed the infant to the neonatal intensive care unit at St. Mary's Hospital, Knoxville, Tennessee. The days inched by. The little girl got worse. The pediatric specialist regretfully had to tell the parents, "There is very little hope. Be prepared for the worst." Karen and her husband contacted a local cemetery about a burial plot. They had fixed up a special room in their home for the new baby, but now they found themselves having to plan for a funeral. Michael, however, kept begging his parents to let him see his sister. "I want to sing to her," he kept saying. Week two in intensive care looked as if a funeral would come before the week was over. Michael kept nagging about singing to his sister, but kids are never allowed in the Intensive Care.

Karen made up her mind, though. She would take Michael whether they liked it or not! If he didn't see his sister right then, he may never see her alive. She dressed him in an oversized scrub suit and marched him into ICU. He looked like a walking laundry basket, but the head nurse recognized him as a child and bellowed "Get that kid out of here now! NO children are allowed!" The mother rose up strong in Karen, and the usually mild-mannered lady glared steel-eyed right into the head nurse's face, her lips a firm line. "He is not leaving until he sings to his sister!" Karen towed Michael to his sister's bedside. He gazed at the tiny infant losing the battle to live. After a moment, he began to sing. In the pure hearted voice of a 3-year-old Michael sang:

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray."

Instantly the baby girl seemed to respond. Her pulse rate began to calm down and become steady. "Keep on singing, Michael," encouraged Karen with tears in her eyes.

"You never know, dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away."

As Michael sang to his sister, the baby's ragged, strained breathing became as smooth as a kitten's purr. "Keep on singing, sweetheart!!"

"The other night, dear, as I lay sleeping, I dreamed I held you in my hands..."

Michael's little sister began to relax as rest, healing rest, seemed to sweep over her. "Keep on singing, Michael." Tears had now conquered the face of the bossy head nurse. Karen glowed.

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. Please don't take my sunshine away..."

The next, day... the very next day... the little girl was well enough to go home! "Women's Day Magazine" called it "The Miracle of a Brother's Song." The medical staff just called it a miracle. Karen called it a miracle of God's love! Never give up on the people you love. Love is so incredibly powerful. Please send this to all the people that have touched your life in some way.

To the world you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world.

MICHAEL LIGHTWEAVER SENT ME AN INVITATION TO JOIN HIM AND OTHER "LIGHT WORKERS" AT THE FOLLOWING COMING GATHERING. PERSONALLY I WON'T BE ABLE TO ATTEND BUT SOME OF YOU MAY BE INTERESTED...

International Light Link 2000
February 10-13
Amari Rincome Resort Hotel, Chiang Mai, Thailand

Network 2012 & Light Link
N-2012 was conceived in 1987 and launched in 1988 with the first Light Link Gathering of about 20 light leaders from around the eastern U.S. These past eleven years have seen a total of thirteen regional, national and international light links, including one in Mexico, two in New Zealand and one in the Mideast. These have played an important role in connecting the Family of Light during this first phase of the transition.

Purpose
The purpose of Light Link is solely to network: to allow light workers from around the world to really get to know each other, to share resources, challenges, visions and dreams, and to create friendships and the kind of heart-bonding which will establish communication links for ongoing cooperation and open new doors for us and for our work in the world.

Format
Light Link is a gathering of peers and a time for sharing. There are no lectures, speakers, workshops, seminars or business meetings. All of our gatherings are circular and designed, like a spiral, to carry us into deeper levels of sharing: our ideas, resources, challenges and visions; and to explore ways of working together across regional, national and international boundaries. We use a flexible agenda which provides structure for our gathering while honoring the spontaneity and movement of Spirit among us.

(clip)

To get the rest of the details about this International Light Link 2000, go at http://www.n2012.com/lightlinks/2000.htm

Why East Asia???

The recent events in Indonesia and East Timor along with the crackdown on the rapidly growing Falun Dafa meditation movement in China are highlighting the significance of Asia and the instability of old paradigms as they teeter under the onslant of the new planetary awakening to freedom, justice and Spirit which is occuring as we move into the third millennium.

Lightworkers in the region have been working quietly for many years to bring us to this point. It is now time for all of us to come together with them and help "tip the scales" energetically so that this transition can be a peaceful one that goes beyond all duality. In other words, your presence is really needed at the upcoming Light Link on February 10-13th. This one will be more than just a network gathering of light workers. It will be a show of support for our Southeast Asian family of light and an opportunity to work energetically toward a smooth planetary transition.

MICHAEL ALSO WROTE IN HIS PERSONAL INVITATION LETTER:

Most people who attend these gatherings have a deep knowing that they are supposed to be there, and once the intent is made, the way is created, sometimes magically or miraculously.

(clip)

The light link has been scheduled immediately prior to the Silver Dove Congress the week of Feb. 14-19th, which is also taking place in Chang Mai. Katharina Bless, who lives in Chaing Mai, is coordinating both. The Silver Dove Congress will have 35 speakers from 18 countries. Many of the speakers will also be attending the light link gathering. If you are attending the Light Link, you may wish to also stay for the SD Congress. For more information about the Congress, you can go to the Silver Dove website at http://www.ivu.org/silverdove

Dear Friends and fellow concerned citizens,

its detrimental effect on our world. At this moment, there is something we
can try to affect and change. I appreciate your taking the time to look this
over and take the appropriate actions.

FORESTS FOREVER UPDATE AND ACTION ALERT

WORLD TRADE TALKS THREATEN FOREST PROTECTION

From Nov. 29 through Dec. 3 Seattle will host what many environmentalists
consider to be the most important policy discussions in history concerning
the world's forests. These talks will occur as part of the preliminaries
to a proposed Millennium Round of trade discussions between the 134 nations
which have joined the World Trade Organization (WTO) since 1995.

In the name of promoting free trade, the Clinton Administration and leaders
from many of the most powerful and wealthy nations on Earth will push for
the elimination of all tariff barriers to the export of timber and timber
products across international borders. If the pro-logging forces get their
way and tariff barriers are removed, global logging of forests is likely to
increase by over one million acres per year.

The Earth's already devastated forests, including those in the U.S. Pacific
Northwest, simply cannot stand the strain of such an increase. The people
of the world must demand that negotiation of this Free Logging Agreement
cease immediately.

Further, we must demand that no new trade liberalization steps of any kind
take place in Seattle because these talks threaten to dismantle many
environmental protections- both here in North America- and worldwide.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

FIRST: Immediately contact Senator Dianne Feinstein and strongly urge her to:

Join Senator Barbara Boxer in sending a letter to President Clinton which
calls on the White House to halt all talks on the WTO Global Free Logging
Agreement and to open no new rounds of global free-trade negotiations until
a thorough study is made of all potential impacts of current and proposed
international agreements on the world's forests and on U.S. environmental
protections.

NEXT: Contact your congressperson and ask him or her to:

Call for a detailed federal review of all current and proposed
international trade agreements. This review must clearly show the
potential impacts of these agreements on the world's forests and
environmental protections. Demand that no new rounds of global free-trade
negotiations proceed until such a study is complete.

FINALLY: Join other environmental and social justice activists traveling
to Seattle this November to protest and express your outrage that WTO
discussions and other international trade talks are proceeding without
