Subject: Feedbacks about the right use of our spiritual Light + World Atomic Safety Holiday (or shutting down the nuclear plants before they blow up Y2K-style)

Hello everyone

Because of the unrelenting backlog of Must-See material to share with you, I'm sending you right away some other very interesting feedbacks received. Thanks again.

I don't feel the need to add anything to what is being so clearly expressed hereafter. Our collective wisdom can be so much more deeper than whatever any individual could come up with...

Subject: To Jean Hudon/about energy

Dear Jean,

Thank you for your great work ! On the regular basis I forward your mails
to my friends, and the circle of your e-mails gets wider and wider.
Two thoughts arose while reading your latest e-mails.

In one of them you got a letter; there was a concern about energy that the
"Lightworkers" use (where there is wars, crises etc.), and that energy,
if not used carefully, may act like a fire, it might serve or it might
destroy. (I would prefer that our light energy would destroy negative thoughtforms before they materialize, causing actions).

However, I feel that it is our privilege to live in an Age that we may
take part to any act on earth with our mental gifts and capacity. And that
we may sensibly act only on the affairs we know something about. And
that your e-mails and internet connections serve as a 'nervous system' to
link us with the affairs even on the other side of the world. I would see
that once we work with the energy (to which every one has an access) if
we only ask guidance and give our energy to the Higher Mind, the Buddha
mind or the God Mind, whatever we call that higher aspects of our very
Being, it has the Intelligence to work on the most positive way needed.
Our motivation, our intentions are the key, the rest then takes care of itself.
We are never outsiders in any conflict, as long as we live, we are giving
our energy all the time to this or that. All the time we are building or
"not building"; Here I do not mean that one should take sides, but that we
would not be indifferent, but that mentally we may focus attention and thus
energy.

The energy level on our planet must have an effect on us, specially if
there are blockages we have not yet worked out within our system. It's like a planetary washing up is going on - and we are in the same laundry with all our feelings and thoughts; we are working out our own part to be in line with the Higher mind - what is worth doing is never easy. And "doing" here I would name as "being aware of the thoughts and feelings". And as it is still not easy
for me to BE aware 24 hours a day, I cannot say it is being for me - it
is hard , very hard "doing".

I have never thought there is really a problem with so and so many people
on this Planet. (The more the merrier) There might be a good reason, that
so many souls feel they want to join the party, and that they are seeing
the positive change that will allow more humans to live together without
conflicts within the next 50 years ahead. (Maybe I lack the scientific
knowledge) but I feel that the only problem we have is the MIND problem. Few years ago I read the classic book The Autobiography of Yogananda, and there
Yogananda wrote about the gurus and saints who live permanently of/on
light, or prana. And how they achieved this state through a mind control
and yoga. There was also mentioning about the karma, that if everyone would
practice the yoga the karmic drama could't be worked out, that might be
still needed.

Recently I read a book by Jasmuheen, "Living on Light" in which she
describes the system of 21 days how to alter the need to live on food and
how to live on light or prana. It's a good book.

If we can do it - and according to this book there are more than 5000 people
already living on this planet by using only light as their "battery" -
then how much will the problem of famine and hunger change.
And just looking at the issue as "over population", isn't it just a
question of "sharing", not "marketing", that is on the bottom line of all
this. Isn't it a test, maybe we are "forced" to learn the sharing - if
not any other way. Thank you for your time, I must confess that your
e-mails makes the World feel more like a Home of many minds sharing the
same dream.

My best regards,
Marjaana

KS: I'm of the belief that we are subjectively aware of certain energies,
but that the earth and all her inhabitants are affected by common energies
and patterns. While each of us experiences them in different ways -- some
intensely, some not at all -- I believe very strongly that because of our
physical makeup and the fact we are here on this planet, we cannot help but
be affected by energies at work in this world. It's like full moons and
new moons -- the effects are widespread and undeniable. We're all in this
together. It's not only I who felt affected. Many people around me, who
know precious little of the changes we're going through, were strongly
affected, as well.

KS: I'm not asking anyone to send less light, just to do so with greater
mindfulness of the possible consequences. I'm not speaking out of fear,
just a certain concern. (I've been through worse, trust me.) If fear
comes into the equation, it has more to do with my issues with the
knee-jerk fearful reactions of people sending intense light into
situations, without sitting back and thinking things through, first. I
feel that a lot of people who call themselves lightworkers don't consider
the impact of their actions on others. They excuse a good deal of
"cowboying" and playing with energies they don't understand or fully
appreciate by saying "Oh, well, drastic times call for drastic measures"
and claiming that whatever they do is allowed, because it's what they think
is in the best interest of humanity. It can also be quite intoxicating to
be working with these new energies, and not all of us possess the
self-control or mastery to handle them well. Too much racing in where
angels fear to tread, so to speak. Has everyone conveniently forgotten
about Atlantis in their rush towards self-expression? I'm sure many people
back then felt just as personally justified in using their powers. And
look where it got us...

KS: Yes -- and it takes time and practice. Mastery. Mastery of self,
mastery of heart and mind and soul. Too much half-baked fiddling with
powerful forces going on, these days. It poses a significant danger, from
where I'm sitting. This is a time filled with false prophets and roads
that lead to nowhere. If there was ever a time to pursue mastery in all
things related to individuals, it is now. For those of us who know our
limitations, we may choose to refrain from certain activities. Sometimes,
it's better to not take action, than to fly blindly into a situation that's
unfamiliar and could result in greater harm than good, based on our level
of accomplishment.

>melody/fragrance/feeling-of-bliss gently attracting us towards the highest
>goals attainable at that point in time) over how we choose to react to our
>perception of things going on within and around us.
>

KS: No, we cannot control others, and it's not for us to impose our will on
others. That's a violation of Law. But we cannot just sit idly by while
others take action that can have a negative impact on others. We all have
a resposibility to speak up, when we see things that we feel are not right.
Do we sit back, while powerful political and economic entities kill off
wildlife? Do we just watch, as the rainforests are being destroyed? Do we
not say a word, when we hear the man next door beating his wife/girlfriend?
Potential misuse of potent energies is no different. Simply being is no
excuse for inaction. And too often people pass on their responsibility to
participate in the pursuit of justice for all beings, using their intention
to simply be as an excuse. The distinctions between doing and being
dissolve, when we see ourselves as dynamic participants in life. For some
of us, doing is in fact being who and what we are.

>And often this choice comes down to either letting fear overcoming us or
>letting the gentle pull of love and acceptance guide us.

KS: Please don't assume I'm speaking out of fear and need for control and
thus dismiss my concerns. Love's pulls are not always gentle and if there
is imbalance in the world, I feel it's remiss to simply accept it as it is.
We are *all* responsible for the world we create around us, and the
energies we work with. Again, Atlantis... If I challenge the actions and
motives of others, it's out of a concern for the greater good, and based on
what information I have. I cannot keep silent, if I see something that
gives me pause.

Dear Jean,

My name is Suzanne Keehn, I am president of Creative Health
Network with deep roots in the Edgar Cayce material. Years ago, I heard
that it is best when sending light to someone who has not specificially
requested it, that it be Gold. Apparently White Light can actually cause
more of the action we are trying to help, as White Light, carrying all
the vibrations, can feel harsher. Gold Light, the Crist Light, is more
smoothing. The example given by a powerful woman, was that as she
prayed for a man with a drinking problem, using the White Light, the
problem got worse. She suggested always using Gold. Perhaps this is
also true with international situations. Another thing I have heard is
send the energy to the Angels/Masters and let them use it appropriately.

Thanks for your work, this will probably be in your over 2000 unopened
emails. ((grin))

In response to the reader who was concerned about "too much lightwork 'blasting' a situation, I usually send "blessings", or simply benevolent feelings of grace and goodwill out to the entire world each morning. My prayer is as follows: "I send Blessings from the Center of my Being to All Creation Above me, Below me, to the East, to the South, to the West and to the North. Actually, I turn to face in the four directions slowly, and repeat the Blessing to each direction. It is amazing that if you begin your day with a Blessing to all Creation, that you go through the day more joyfully, because you cannot be angry or judgmental to people or situations you have just blessed! It puts a whole new spin on life. I guess "Blessings" and "Light" are very much the same things, so I cannot honestly imagine how either could possibly do harm.

Dear Jean:

I feel great empathy for you when I read that you have 2700 unopened
e-mails. I do not know how you cope with this volume and still manage to do
the great job that you do.

Probably you will receive this well into next month. I would like to
recommend that you consider some different way of cataloging and
distributing information in order to save yourself the work. I do not have
a solution for you, however it bears thinking about how it can be done. I
have trouble just reading all the information that you post too.

I wish I had an answer - it would be better for all concerned.

The power of the internet is going to overwhelm and burn us out.

Perhaps if we developed a think tank on the idea, some solutions might be
presented.

Destroyed by our own success? I hope not.

Keep up the great work,

Peace and Love to you - and great strength.

MY RESPONSE:

Dear Mitchell

It is so kind of you to express your concern about the infoglut I and we all have to cope with. There are over 80 millions people on the Net and soon hundreds of millions will be on it. So...

It's a tough call. The only other option would be to have a listserver and I may consider this soon as managing a 1500 list (not to mention the 4 other large lists I also manage and use occasionally) is quite a burden. But then it would be different in many ways. Especially if the listserver was open to anyone to post on it which is what is listservers are usually used for. And *this* would greatly expand the overload for everyone.

Anyway, either the Y2K bug will "solve" this soon (no more power or Net for a while) and/or I plan change my focus come January 2000. I have a project and interesting new concept in mind and will let everyone know in due time.

Take care

Jean

AS A FOLLOW UP TO THE RISKS OF MELTDOWN FOR MANY NUCLEAR PLANTS IN THE US AND AROUND THE WORLD BECAUSE OF THE Y2K BUG, HERE IS MORE CONFIRMING EVIDENCE AS TO THE URGENCY TO GET THE ATTENTION OF THE PROPER GOVERNMENTAL AUTHORITIES TO PREVENTIVELY SHUT DOWN, ONE MONTH PRIOR TO JANUARY 1st, 2000, *ALL* NUCLEAR PLANTS -- A TOUGH DECISION IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER, ESPECIALLY FOR COUNTRIES HEAVILY DEPENDENT ON NUCLEAR ENERGY TO POWER THEIR ELECTRIC GRID... BUT PERHAPS THE ONLY SENSIBLE SOLUTION TO AVOID MULTIPLE CHERNOBYLS AND AN INTENSE RADIOACTIVE POLLUTION OF THE ENTIRE PLANET!

SORRY TO RAISE SUCH A SPECTRE, BUT IF WE FAIL TO MEASURE UP THE CONSEQUENCES OF DOING NOTHING ABOUT THIS, THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT *MIGHT* HAPPEN...

YOU WROTE:

Hello Jean,

Thank you for all of your great work in providing us with important information.

Here's another item that I think warrants your special attention. I hope
you will pass it on to the list, and everyone you know.

The WASH (World Atomic Safety Holiday) Campaign is one that is absolutely
necessary to ensure this planet's continued survival beyond January 1,
2000. Two of its more prominent members are Doctors Helen Caldicott and
Patch Adams. Dr. Caldicott has been a long-term advocate against Nukes and
is founding president of Physicians for Social Responsibility. and Dr.
Patch Adams is well-known for using laughter as medicine as portrayed by
Robin Williams in a recent movie.

The most disturbing prospect is the fact that nuclear plants in the United
States only have 7-day supply of fuel, should the power grid fail. Should
the backup generators fail (and they are notorius for failure), then a
meltdown will occur within 24 hours. Nuclear plants in other nations may
have an even higher risk of meltdown due to lack of Y2K preparations.

We need to have the nuclear plants taken off-line by December 1st, at the
LATEST! Please urge everyone you know to support the WASH campaign. For
more information, please see their URL at
http://www.y2kwash.com/y2kwash/index.html to sign their on-line and email
petitions. Also, you might want to urge folks to print out hard copy
petitions to get signed. A bunch of us here in Maine have been getting them
signed and sent to the appropriate people. Phone calls will also help. The
more we bug them, the better, since time is running out!

Also, on a side note, it appears that the NIRS (Nuclear Information
Research Service) website, one of the best anti-nuclear resources, has been
hacked. On Thursday night around 10:30, I visited the site, and had
problems with it. When I finally got onto it, the message "This Site has
been hacked by Thoth and E/\B. Now today, Saturday, the entire site is
down. I am sure that it was intentional and deliberate. I hope this kind of
sabotage doesn't start happening to other anti-nuclear sites...

Thanks for all your help.

- Morgan (what@mindspring.com)

From the WASH website:

Y2K Atomic Safety Issues Briefing Sheet

[This text was written for U.S. use. It may be revised, as appropriate for
use in other countries.]

The Y2K World Atomic Safety Holiday (WASH) Campaign

Take Action to Prevent Nuclear Meltdown in the Year 2000

There are 103 nuclear power plants in the United States. The Y2K computer
problem has the potential to create a disaster at any of these sites. While
critical time slips away, the Nuclear Regularatory Commission (NRC -
overseer of US reactors) appears ready to let reactors get by without proof
of Y2K compliance. If action is not taken, nuclear plants may well be
depending on systems with Y2K-sensitive chips as we enter the new year. It
is critical that government be held responsible for public safety and that
elected officials act promptly to prevent all possible nuclear reactor
disasters.

Nuclear reactors have the potential to malfunction in many ways. The
average reactor in the US has thousands of embedded chips in numerous
computer systems. An NRC audit of the Seabrook reactor in New Hampshire
found twelve safety related systems and 800 other significant systems which
were affected by the Y2K problem. Meltdown could occur if computers report
incorrect data and reactor personnel act upon this misinformation. Both the
Chernobyl and Three Mile Island reactor disasters occurred because of
operators acting upon incorrect data.

External power failures could also cause meltdown of reactor cores or used
fuel rods. Nuclear reactors require power from the grid to pass coolant
through the core and to cool the water in which used fuel rods are stored.
Without power the core could begin to melt in less than two hours -- and
used fuel rods (even ones two years old) could melt down within two days.
In case of power failure, reactors rely on diesel generators to run the
cooling systems. Unfortunately, the NRC reports that these generators are
only 95% reliable. Non-governmental sources say they're only 85% reliable.
Given these percentages and with two generators at each nuclear plant, we
could expect 10-30 generator failures in the U.S., even if adequate fuel
were available.

The federal government is publicly saying that the risk of reactor problems
is not great enough to justify shutting down the reactors for the new
year's transition. They are also failing to guarantee sources of coolant
energy for the reactor cores and used fuel pools. Experts agree that no
nuclear power will be needed in the U.S. on January 1, 2000 - there will be
plenty of electrical generation available. We need to let our officials
know that we are willing to live without nuclear power through the new year
in order to avoid a nuclear disaster, and that we want all nuclear sites to
be fully safe.

There is similar negligence -- and need for citizen action -- in each of
the world's 34 nuclear-powered countries. There are 433 nuclear reactors in
the world. Nuclear accidents know no boundaries. Citizens globally need to
demand that all reactors not independently verified as Y2K-compliant be
taken off line by December 1, 1999, so they have time to safely cool down
and that reliable on-site back-up power be installed at every nuclear site.
Diesel back-up generators must be checked to assure they are running
properly and that a long-term supply of fuel is available and/or adequate
alternative energy sources (solar, wind, on-site hydro) must be installed.

Beyond the Y2K situation with nuclear power and used fuel rods, there are
potential Y2K problems with the world's thousands of nuclear weapons. US
and Russian nuclear early-warning systems have given false alarms even when
their computers were working properly. Possible Y2K bugs in
early-warning systems could combine with infrastructure failures or
unforeseen embedded chip problems to lead to accidental nuclear war. This
risk is increased by international tensions such as those seen during the
recent NATO bombing. We cannot afford even the smallest chance of such an
unprecedented global disaster. U.S. and Russian nuclear weapons are on
hair-trigger alert even though the Cold War is over. These weapons systems
need to be de-alerted -- that is, the weapons delivery systems disabled so
that human action is required for a launch to succeed. Currently, all other
nuclear weapons states are in de-alert status.

Please join the World Atomic Safety Holiday campaign in demanding that
public health and safety not be threatened by nuclear power plants and
nuclear weapons during the Y2K rollover period.

MY RESPONSE:

Thanks a lot Morgan for passing on such a critical piece of information. As
you may have noticed in a recent email, I already included material on the
nuclear safety issue -- "More Y2K material for your perusal - The bug that
just won't go away" posted at:
http://www.cybernaute.com/earthconcert2000/MoreY2Kmaterial.htm

Yet, I'm not sure it will all be enough to bring this to the attention of the
world (through the ever so uncooperative media) and our overburdened
political leaders. Also there is the Titanic syndrome everyone seems to be
affected with - to a great extent! Everyone heard about potential Y2K
problems but most people do NOT seem to take this seriously enough to
actually *do something about it. So when it comes to something so much out
of our control and our league as nuclear reactors and weapons, most people
tend to shun the issue and focus on something else that is less
threatening. A natural human reaction for sure, but one nonetheless that,
is this case, may have life-and-death repercussions.

A massive "die-in" (like the sit-ins of the sixties) near a nuclear reactor
complex in the US is probably the only thing that will get this into the
news along with top-notch nuclear experts and some Nobel Peace prize
recipients on location to answer the questions from the press.

Any way to organize this in a timely fashion?

I'm sure Greenpeace would be able to do a *great* job if they were to take
this challenge on...

I'll include this note along with your material in my coming mass email to the Earth Rainbow Network emailing list to see what kind of feedbacks we will get on this idea.

Love and blessings

MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT THEY SUGGEST TO SHUT THE REACTORS DOWN WHILE THERE IS STILL POWER AVAILABLE FROM THE ELECTRIC GRID (IT IS LIKELY MANY PARTS OF THE WORLD, INCLUDING MANY US STATES WILL HAVE PROLONGED GRID POWER BLACK OUTS DUE TO THE Y2K BUG) TO RUN THE NUCLEAR PLANTS COOLING SYSTEMS UNTIL THEY ARE ENTIRELY AND SAFELY COOLED DOWN. SO THEY WON'T USE THE DIESEL GENERATORS. BUT STILL THESE GENERATORS WILL BE NEEDED DURING THE Y2K BLACK OUTS TO KEEP COOLING THE POOLS WHERE THE USED URANIUM FUEL RODS ARE STORED. AND THIS ASPECT OF THE PROBLEM IS NOT FULLY ADDRESSED IN THEIR PROPOSAL - STILL THEY RECOMMEND THAT THE BACK-UP GENERATORS BE PROPERLY VERIFIED TO BE 100% OPERATIONAL. BUT KEEPING NON FULLY Y2K-COMPLIANT NUCLEAR PLANTS RUNNING IS FAR MORE DANGEROUS AND, AS EXPLAINED, THE MELTDOWN AND CHERNOBYL-STYLE RADIOACTIVE EMISSIONS WILL OCCUR MUCH MORE QUICKLY.

THE OTHER PROBLEM THEY HAVE NOT ADRESSED IS THAT MANY COUNTRIES (FRANCE, RUSSIA, ETC.) RELY HEAVILY ON NUCLEAR PLANTS TO GENERATE A LARGE SHARE OF THE ELECTRICITY THEIR NATIONS NEED. SO THEY CAN HARDLY SHUT THEM DOWN AND THUS I'D SAY THE WORLD IS FACED WITH THE NEAR CERTAINTY OF POSSIBLY UP TO 20 NEW CHERNOBYLS ON IT HANDS - AND IN OUR LUNGS - DURING THE FIRST HOURS OF THE YEAR 2000. A CHILLING AND DEVASTATING PERSPECTIVE AT BEST! AND A DEADLY LEGACY FOR GENERATIONS TO COME... THEY ONLY SENSIBLE SOLUTION FOR THE FREAKY NIGHTMARE CREATED BY THE 433 NUCLEAR REACTORS OF THE WORLD AND THE EVER-INCREASING RADIOACTIVE POLLUTION OF OUR PLANET IS TO MOTHBALL THEM ALL - AND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE - AND ELIMINATE-DESTROY-BURY (I DON'T KNOW) THE HUNDREDS OF TONS OF ACCUMULATED RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL!

There is definitely an "apres moi le deluge" (after me the flood) effect sweeping across the planet - a sort of "scorched earth" policy to leave the meek
nothing but desolation to inherit. What can we do to counteract it? I was
listening to a taped lecture by Terence McKenna in which he essentially
said that no government can survive being confronted by a million people
gathered in the city square. Can we combine our group meditations with
political action to force the surrender of every criminal administration
on earth?

This is the obvious solution to the present insanity informing public
affairs... especially in Malaysia where abuse of power and mismanagement have
reached a critical level. The only problem is: a million people must feel
spontaneously moved to firmly but peaceably demand the resignations of
these neo-fascist "leaders."

Hi Jean

Thanks for your wonderful information again. I circulate it to as many as
possible in the hope that they pick up something that may make their lives
different, or that they go into another website and gain some new learning.
I think you will enjoy this little story. We all need the reminding
occasionally. Keep up the good work.

In light and love and may you be continually blessed.

Jennie Gorman

A PASSING THOUGHT ...

There once was a little boy who wanted to meet God. He knew it was long
trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with a Vegemite Sandwich
and a six-pack of soft-drinks and he started his journey.

When he had gone about three blocks, he met an old woman. She was
sitting in the park just staring at some pigeons. The boy sat down next
to her and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink,
when he noticed that the old lady looked hungry, so he offered her
a sandwich.

She gratefully accepted it and smiled at him. Her smile was
so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered her a drink.
Once again she smiled at him. The boy was delighted!

They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word.

As it grew dark, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to
leave, but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around,
ran back to the old woman and gave her a hug. She gave him her biggest
smile ever.

When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later, his
mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face.

She asked him, "What did you do today that made you so happy?"

He replied, "I had lunch with God." But before his mother could respond,
he added, "You know what? She's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen!"

Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned to her home.

Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and he asked,
"Mother, what did you do today that made you so happy?"

She replied, "I ate a Vegemite sandwich in the park with God." But before
her son responded, she added, "You know, he's much younger than I expected."
