Hello everyone

I received some interesting feedbacks following my recently published correspondence with Shaun Darius. Some of you may be fired up enough to send in your own follow up comments on this and other subjects...

But before you get to this part, I recommend to your attention Ray O. Driskill's moving piece about indifference.

Greetings, Namaste;~)

Chicken Little announced that the sky is falling. Pinko, Commie Tree
Huggers cry that Global Warming means that the world is coming to an END!
But WE know better. After all I work for one of the Seven Sisters, and we
all know that they are GOOD witches who will whisk us away to our warm safe
homes as soon as we click our heels together and utter those magic words:
"THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME".

We are all literally dying to believe in this fairy tale that we have been
fed along with our daily gruel. The corporate maw requires us to line up
behind the popular notion that we can "IGNORE IT AND IT WILL GO AWAY". I
would love to have this problem simply evaporate with the breeze, But "IT
AIN'T GOING AWAY" unless we DO SOMETHING!

You may have noticed that I am somewhat passionate about this.
I apologize if this strident plea spoils the equanimity of your morning, but
if we ignore this situation for a few more years, all of our mornings will
be spoiled. What am I going to say to my grandson, Jeremy, in a few years
when he asks:

"Grandpa, why did you allow our planet to be ravaged and raped to gouge
out one more source of oil or coal or...? I know that you knew that
something had to be done. The trees told us that when we walked in the
park, and you told me you were waiting for the right time. Is it time, yet,
Grandpa?"

As I try to see the keyboard through my tears, I can hear his voice as he
tries to understand why his Grandpa could not find the time to do something
that would help our planet heal the wounds of our indifference.

Blessings and Hugs,
Grandpa Ray

Jean,

Shaun Darius's basic premise about not getting mired in the negativity
of world events to the exclusion of enjoying beauty and laughter, is good --
but he's way off base in stating that your reports have a "small sense of
self-importance." That's not an opinion shared by anyone I would know.
Your reports are important and you take them seriously, and your personal
commentaries are helpful, balanced -- and none of that is "self-importance"!

Your reply to him was excellent. And, you have an enviably active,
productive and enriching life! Blessings, and my gratitude for your
reports.

Suzy Ward

AND MY REPLY WAS:

"Thanks a lot for your passionate letter of support. As for Shaun's remark about my "small sense of self-importance", I'd say that there could be some truth to it. As much as I try to remain unattached to the continuous efforts I make to create a greater awareness of issues that seem of vital importance to me, it is true that there is a part in me that feels that what I'm doing is important -- and I believe it is something to be proud of, not ashamed of. In our society where so much value is still placed on the wealth you possess and on the number of physical amenities you have at your disposal, I think there should be more emphasis placed on doing the right thing for the Highest Good of all and caring for what really matters *beyond* this physical realm. In that sense, what I try to do may serve as a motivating example for others to get active and follow their own intuitively-guiden passion in life as I do.

Is my ego deriving some satisfaction and alleged sense of "self-importance" from this? Perhaps. Even likely for I'm very much so human as everyone else. But it is in the movement towards doing what feels right that the greatest learning is to be found, from the spiritual standpoint, and I would encourage anyone to dare follow their heart and do what it feels is right, no matter if sometimes some people may have an opinion about what you do that you would not think about yourself. In short, if you "know" deep within that what you do is right, then just continue doing it, while paying attention to how others see it as it may offer you some valuable insights as to how you may become even better at what you *feel* you ought to do.

And what Shaun was also telling me - as I understand it - was the need to not forget to include a place for laughter in my compilation work, to not get so engrossed in the heavy business of reporting what's wrong and in so doing forgetting all that's good and worth celebrating that I would project such a despairing view of our situation that it would be disempowering and, in the end, counterproductive. I think this is an excellent advise and I thank him for having trusted his intuitive guidance and gone ahead with expressing his truth and perspective on my work. This is essential and as much needed as the validation you expressed about it in your letter Suzy."

AND HERE IS SHAUN'S REPLY TO THIS ABOVE - BTW HE REFERS TO ME AS "SHE" BELOW, BUT ACTUALLY I'M A "HE" - JEAN IN FRENCH SPEAKING QUEBEC IS A MALE NAME ;-)

===>> Wow! Jean and Suzy...

*Thanks* for sharing your thoughts with me. They are invaluable :)

What I was trying to say by "a small sense of self-importance" was actually not directed at Jean, although I wish I'd chosen my words with greater care. I was referring to the nature of "self-seriousness" in general (and in specific), in seeking to bring about important changes and transformation within this world!

I know it's a cliche, yet I believe that there is truth to the old adage, "Think globally, yet act LOCALLY". When Jean writes to me about over 932 letters in her Email mailbox, and her role as a conduit of information, I get a feeling of *YIKES!*

It isn't that the work that needs to be done by any of us lacks importance....Far from it. It's more likely that in trying to "save the world" we might occasionally forget to take care of ourselves. This is the duality of "self-importance" of which I was speaking.

Suzy, Jean writes to me about her work as an artist, a writer, & obviously, a visionary. I have NO DOUBT about her importance being a major player and networker in this (and undoubtedly other) dimensions! What is possibly of interest to me is this balancing act of self-expression and self-evolvment as an individual soul, VS. care-taking / involvement & concern for the world-at-large and larger global concerns. . .

For example, in Feng Shui, there is a belief that *if* a person can deal with their own clutter, that crucial, viable and magical connections as to other persons that "should" be contacted (and networkings that are highly fortuitous), will be come to the surface and will be made known.

In the clutter of our papers, our emails, the sheer deluge of information, sometimes we can lose a belief in the value of inner transformation and inner clarity, because - just possibly - we are out fighting the "big bad dragons" in the outside world. Sometimes it takes only one or two pivotal contacts at the "perfect" time . . . And not always necessarily a huge sacrifice to rectify large-scale injustice. THIS is closer to the zen heart of what I wish I had said.

It is, for me, a question of balance. . . .I know that it is probably self-defeating to be overly philosophical in an Email. So let my actions speak louder than the constant barrage of words we all deal with every day. If you, Jean, and if you, Suzy Ward, would send to me a BUSINESS address, I would like to send to each of you a complimentary copy (pre-publication) of my book about intuition, awakening, and yes, HUMOR. Its tentative title is,

"I Love You, Now Go Clean Up the Mess."

I'm not looking for a home address here....that's too personal. But I am a successfully published writer (for what it's worth) and my work is here-and-there on the WWW. On of the magazines which publishes my writing is SEEKER MAGAZINE at www.seekermagazine.com My column is called "Avant Soul" and you'll see my name there, S.D. Gottlieb (Shaun Darius Gottlieb).

Jean, I've been on a photo shoot for the past two days AND a recording session (I'm a cellist). I haven't had a chance to fully absorb your thoughtful Emails to me....Thank you for writing (both of you)! My sense is, absolutely I'd like to be included in the "very positive" category to which you send only the weekly Meditation Focus. YES - please do send me the survey, and YES, please do send the Meditation Focus. And when I have caught up on your previous outstanding compilations of global visionary letters, Jean, I will ask you at that time to allow me to re-subscribe to the full range of your highly prolific writing(!).

IN THE MEANTIME, Suzy and Jean, if you would like to receive a complimentary copy of my book, write back to me and let me know where you would like it to be sent.

Thanks to both of you

Ha, ha!

Good old Shaun Darius; my sentiments almost entirely!

It is just not necessary to negotiate on the 3D level with all that is going
on here; and nobody should feel guilty about wanting to switch-off. We are
'working' at so many different levels of existence, anyway. Hand to hand
encounters on the lower dimensions are not to everyone's taste, and are
often of the "Fools rush in where Angels fear to tread" variety ...
We do what we can, without straining. Much more important, WE ARE WHO WE
ARE. Our BEING has much more clout than our busy, busy DOINGS ...
I do what I do, and that is my affair; not for brandishing around in
cyberspace.

I delete most of what comes in; a quick scan is enough to show me that it is
not my cup of tea.

I get overloaded, irritated and bored by being "bashed" with all this stuff
from the cyber-realms; in common with most of my beautiful, loving and
down-to-earth friends - I just feel suddenly very tired - & go for the
'delete' key ....

Sufficient unto THE DAY is the evil thereof ...

BUT, having said all that, there are bits that get through to me, so I
wouldn't want to close the door entirely ...

For me the bottom line is "if it's not FUN, it's not working ..."

Love

Angela

AND MY REPLY WAS:

I very much appreciate you took the time to share your vital perspective about how to deal with "3D level" realities which I think is probably the choice of a great number of people on this list.

What matters to me is not to alert *everyone* about *everything* that's wrong or right in this world and I'm quite happy that at least some of it get through so that overall everyone finds something of direct personal interest and is moved enough to either do something about it or simply keep this or that situation in mind when meditating for peace and greater harmony in the world or simply through their normal life so as to contribute in some way to assist towards a positive change in such and such situations.

Nobody *as an individual* is asked to take on his/her shoulders the crushing burden of all that's not OK on Earth, but all together we can gradually move towards solving each of those problems, each and everyone assisting in his/her own unique social and/or spiritual "niche" of creativity, ingenuity and service for the good of all - just like things work in Nature.

You might say, to take an analogy, that my specific field of service is to be on watch at the look-out post of our collective ship and to let everyone and the officiers of the ship know what I see ahead so as to assist those who have to decide where to go what is the best route to get there, while making sure everyone on board is aware of the potential long term consequences of the final destination towards which our global boat is headed by choice - or simply by default - and thus perhaps assist in making wiser choices along the way.

From: "Angela Taylor" <adastrabooks@bigfoot.com>

Hallo Jean

Thanks for the swift response - and my! aren't you a forbearing and patient
soul - unlike MOI! Quite a lot of people - me included - are beginning to
wonder if I'm not transmogrifying into a rottweiler over the past year; such
is my almost pathological lack of tolerance for having my nose rubbed in Big
Issues, Worthy Causes, and, most frightful of all, great dollops of treacly
"spiritual" claptrap, loftily & patronisingly dispensed by folk who think
they've got a hotline to God. Now, that's when the sick-bag gets passed
around sharpish .... (I am not alone in my "outlandish" views ....) And I
find it disconcerting, to say the least, to open an e-mail (not yours, I
hasten to add) and find I'm having my face licked by total strangers telling
me how much they "lurve" me. Grrrrr! GerrOFFFF!!

I KNOW that some of it is beautiful and true and authentic, and given out
with pure love and no ego. These instantly resonate, and can be picked out
in the fastest scan. But a lot of the stuff is very mixed, verbose,
sickeningly sugary, and boring. To find a small nugget of gold among all
these cyber-messages, you have to wade through a sea of treacle, it seems
.....

The e-mails I like best are the ones entitled "JOKE".

By now you will be thinking what a nasty-minded, superficial, hard-hearted
old trout I am! Believe me, some do - and they are allowed to; it is not my
mission to win friends and influence people.

Clearly the levels of irritation I am feeling have more to do with what's
going on in my murky depths than what's "out there". I acknowledge that,
but can make no apology, as willy-nilly, it is my reality; it has it's
raison-d'etre - just like EVERYTHING ELSE!!

Heigh-ho; how quickly all spins round, we find ouselves biting our tails,
the comic aspects take over big-time, and suddenly we are rolling around on
the floor, laughing uncontrollably ..... Full circle!

Our reason serves us no longer, but for a moment we understand, we KNOW; we
are for a moment at peace, in balance, endlessly tolerant, dispassionately
loving all that is ....

Ah, if only it would last! I am sure that for some, it does, and a few
souls are in unassailable bliss. For the rest of us, occasional glimpses
give us just enough of a divine fix to keep us going ... We KNOW that ALL
IS WELL; that this circus we have joined is nothing less that a DIVINE
COMEDY.

Even if some of us do spend rather too long in the Dangerous Dogs compound
.....
Woof, woof, woof!!!

Well, I'M laughing now! YOU are probably gritting your teeth, and wondering
if I am quite, quite mad. I might be; I find it impossible to be serious.

You didn't have to explain yourself, by the way. I totally acknowledge your
integrity & sincerity, and I truly salute you for what you do; and, when I'm
not in rottweiler mode - EVERYONE ELSE, for EVERYTHING they do.
It is all QUITE PERFECT, even if I do forget every five minutes.

At the risk of sounding arrogant, I guess my take on things is that I resist
information overload because I honestly feel I have no need to have pointed
out to me on a conscious level what I KNOW at other levels of my being. I
feel that ALL of us carry within ourselves ALL KNOWLEDGE, and it is my way
('tho I know this is not true for most others) to act without premeditation
or conscious thought. (And, by golly, it SHOWS!!!! - do I hear you cry?!)
But this again, is not a conscious choice. It is a matter of quite
overwhelming feelings - a gut thing; faced with a tide of very mixed verbal
input "my gorge rises": I often feel physically sick. To that extent, this
is not a choice. And, rightly or wrongly, I do not question this; for better
or worse, I trust my gut feelings.

Have a really excellent day, and as many laughs as you can cram in!

Love

Angela

P.S. Do what you like with my e-mails (except alter them!)

TO WHICH I BRIEFLY REPLIED:

You really had me laughing here Angela... :-)

I really love your unique kind of candid humor and think that what you described above can perfectly applies to all of us - me included Graaoorrr! sometimes.

As for extending those blissful moments of communion/inner alignment with our Divine Universal Self, it can be done and is in fact quite easy to attain on a regular basis the moment we accept letting go and simply being Who We Are deep within.

From: "Nita Noor" <sraosha@indo.net.id>

Good Morning Jean,

This time I'd like to make a comment on Darius's note to you. And also at
the very bottom is an "enlightening" news/info/link that you might pass on.

Funny though, .... the way I see thing is that you neither can tell people
to laugh at absurdity nor to have a "fool-realisation" unless they're ready
for it.

It seemed to me from his note that Darius is in fact the one who takes
things too seriously (Sorry about that).

Our intellect as visionaries act as a filter as well, it's us that know
which issue that we should focus on at certain moment. If we let ourselves
drown by "reminders" (in the form of problems, crisis, or whatever else is
happening around us), I suppose we should ask ourselves ..... how clear are
we with ourselves, how connected are we with the Source ?

So, Seriously Darius ....... are we letting our focus being drown by
outsides circumstances ?

Anyway, I forgot I was writing this to you ... Sorry if I was a bit
carried away here in responding to Darius comment. I felt like that
sometimes ("too much -- I had enough of this") , but then ..... something
absurd always happened to remind me, giving a different light to "reminders"
that I can only do what I can do and stop playing God, .....stop kidding
myself by trying to correct any issues !

So, Jean ..... I think from where I'm floating right now you're doing fine
with your compilations ....(and it's all up to us the reader to put a twist
of absurdity here and then as we like.... )

And Forgive my incoherence this morning.

Multihued hugs & laughter to you and your daughter,

Nita

----------

The Five Fundamentals of FUNdamentalism

1. LIFE IS A JOKE -- But God Is Laughing With Us, Not At Us. God is tuned to
the Comedy Channel, and we are His Funniest Home Videos. We take turns being
comedian and straight man (and yes, a gay woman can be a straight man -- it
happens all the time), so we get the fool spectrum of experience. And we
have free choice. We get to choose whether or not we laugh. While we
FUNdamentalists are ardently pro-laugh, we are pro-choice as well. We honor
every human being’s right to not be amused. But I figure, why resist a Farce
that is greater than any of us? If life is a sitcom, might as well sit calm
and enjoy it.

2. FUN IS FUNDAMENTAL. FUNdamentalists believe that life is fundamentally
fun -- that underneath all the stress, distress and negativity, there is an
deep well of joy. Each time laughter bubbles up from that well, we
experience deep wellness. A fooly-aware person need only look in the mirror
to begin laughing. So play to God daily. Surrender to the Farce, and smile
... you’re on Candid Karma.

3. A LAUGH TRACK HAS BEEN PROVIDED. The FUNdamentalist scriptures tell us
that on the Eighth Day, God saw the world was funny and created Laughter.
And since we were humoring Him, He decided to humor us. So He provided a
laugh track so we could laugh along. But when things get serious, we lose
track of the laugh track. Fortunately, the best way to overcome gravity is
with levity. We can use the levitational pull to help us rise above whatever
is bringing us down -- and help us get back on track.

4. WE ARE PUT IN THE MATERIAL WORLD TO GET MORE MATERIAL. Spirit is
immaterial, so it must materialize to experience anything. Without material
existence, there would be nothing to laugh about and no one to do the
laughing. We have been given the human jestive system to turn the material
of life into laughter. When we laugh, God laughs. And when we laugh with
God, we are using the spiritual to heal the material. To be happy in life,
you must be able to take a joke. And if you can leave a few as well, all the
better.

5. NONJUDGMENT DAY IS AT HAND! When a majority of human beings would rather
laugh than condemn, we will have an uncritical mass, and this will usher in
Nonjudgment Day. On Nonjudgment Day, we will all win beauty contests.
Lawyers will disappear, and all our trials will be over. On this glorious
day when enlightning strikes, our clown chakras will open, we will become
fooly-realized, and we will finally get the joke. The world will stop -- and
everyone will get off.

Dear Jean,

Your work is so good and your list serve us all with all its awakening
information. I have no doubts about how powerful the group of like minded
people are if they join their hearts to bring about the change.

This morning in a morning News (CNN) UN Secretary announced a appeal to all
world countries to raise money for the help for poor countries, those areas
that have suffered lately by nature catastrophes. I cannot remember what was
the amount he was asking but he added, it was not much, as it was
the same amount of money big countries used for arms and weapons on the
one single day. The change of mind and the change of outlook is
the major one.

If the money now put to keep up armies and weapons in good condition so
to speak would be arranged to keep soldiers busy so that they
would work for peace, and their training would include humanitarian
studies, in a form of new education, new scientific technology to prevent
nature catastrophes, that same money would serve in a new way. The soldiers
and their families would have greater inner meaning. The big U.S Navy ships,
could be changed into great floating modern hospitals; help centers that can
bring help through all the seas to all places; The whole Army role could
be set anew. Just a thought.

Thank You, Jean, keepin´ up the flame of change,

Jean,

I wanted to pass along to your readers an excellent book regarding our use/misuse of energy.
It is titled, "The Last Hours of Ancient Sunlight (Waking up to personal & global transformation)" by Thom Hartmann.

He has a compelling theory concerning how we have changed the way we think about using energy over the past several thousand years. The first half of the book is extremely educational and eye opening about the destruction and depletion of our natural resources, and how serious the problem is. He also offers a few solutions at the end of the book about how we can change. One is to look to indigenous people and how they lived in harmony with Mother Earth for thousands of years. He also talks about changing our thoughts and the power of collective prayer/intents.

I wish it was required reading for all.

Happy Holidays,

CREATING A NEW WORLD

A Message to Light Workers from Archangel Gabriel

Through Shanta Kelly Hartzell

The call has gone forth. An activation has occurred within the hearts
of all beings who are workers in the light of God. Those who have agreed
to serve in these "end" times are gathering, through a linking of their
minds and hearts, in order to create a new world.

Linking up with each other and with the mind of God, the light workers
are uniting all over the earth to bring balance and healing to the
planet. As this link strengthens, the healing will accelerate, and with
the process of intention and visualization, peace and harmony will
prevail. It is time to create powerful, prayerful gatherings for peace,
for all beings and for the world. It is time to hold the vision of a
world where human beings live in harmony, with each other and with the
earth. It is time to create a vision where all will be fed, clothed and
sheltered, so their focus can move from survival to the enrichment of
the spirit. The time is now. Together you can do this.

There need be no supreme leader in these prayer circles as all
separation is being released. You need not travel great distances, for
as many gather together, the place where you are standing will become
"hallowed ground." Begin to organize gatherings wherever you are to
strengthen your vision. Hold to the qualities you want to see manifest
for all beings on earth and remember that with God, all things are
possible. Pray for divine intervention in all situations that are out of
balance. Visualize the grid lines of the earth carrying this balanced
energy and radiating light, love and peace throughout the planet.

As a focal point for workers of light, to connect with each other and
as a means of transmitting energy, we suggest visualizing a star. See
this star radiant with light and holding the presence of God's love.
White-gold at its center. This star represents the blending of the
energies of soul and form through the union of matter with spiritual
consciousness. While visualizing this star, hold the vision of peace on
earth. See the air filled with life force energy, see the protective
layer around the earth's atmosphere being restored, and the oceans
cleansed. See the soil being replenished with nutrients, and the great
forests of the world being sustained for eternity. Know with every
fiber of your being that there is abundance of food, water and all that
is needed for good life. Know that technology exists for all that is
required to assist this planetary renewal. Feel all hearts being
quickened by the increase in light and love. Visualize planetary
leaders finding their hearts and minds turned toward the greater good
and living in cooperation and harmony. These thoughts will manifest, as
many gather and hold with clarity the good they want to see created.
Eventuallly, the rainbow light of this activated star will reach all
over the world. As many hold the vision of harmony and peace, so it
will be.

Release doubt and fear. Choose love and bring a new level of faith
into being. It is time to remember why you are here. Allow the energy
of God to flow through all you do. Be a force for peace and harmony on
earth right now. It is time. When many gather together for good, the
world will change. Do not focus on what you do not want. That which you
focus on, through the law of attraction, you will draw into life.
Acknowledge the existing conditions, but keep your vision strong for
what you collectively desire. It shall be as you envision, when the
minds of all who work for peace and love gather together in the light.
You are the force for change toward a greater good. Hold the vision
together for a world of harmony, peace and love, and it shall be.

Drive Your Karma, Curb Your Dogma: Swami 's Guidelines for Enlightenment

1. Be a FUNdamentalist. Make sure the fun always comes before the mental.
Realize that life is a situation comedy that will never be cancelled, a
laugh track has been provided, and the reason we are put in the material
world is to get more material. Have a good laughsitive twice a day, and that
will insure regularhilarity.

2. Remember that each of us has been given a special gift just for entering
-- so you are already a winner!

3. The most powerful tool on the planet today is tell-a-vision. That is
where I tell a vision to you, and you tell a vision to me. That way, if we
don't like the programming we are getting, we can change the channel.

4. Life is like photography. You use the negative to develop. And no matter
what adversity you face, be reassured: Of course, God loves you -- he's just
not ready to make a commitment.

5. It is true. As we go through life thinking heavy thoughts, thought
particles tend to get caught between the ears, causing a condition called
truth decay. So be sure and use mental floss twice a day.

6. If we want world peace, we must let go of our attachments and truly live
like nomads. That's where I no mad at you, you no mad at me. That way, there
will surely be nomadness on the planet. And peace begins with each of us. A
little peace here, a little peace there, and pretty soon all the peaces will
fit together to make one big peace everywhere.

7. I know great earth changes have been predicted for the future, so if
you're looking to avoid earthquakes, my advice is simple. When you find a
fault, don't dwell on it.
