Subject: More on Chechnya and some strongly worded comments and much much more
I hope you can cope with all the reading material I'm sending you - and there is so
much more to come as I must clear my desk of perhaps 10 more such compilations (in
addition to your feedbacks) before the Y2K bug kicks in. Talking of this: yesterday
in the TV news they were reassuring (once again!) everyone here in Quebec that 99.9% of
all the computer problems had been fixed and that we should not worry. Yet *to be
on the safe side*, thousands of government and corporate employees, all public utilities,
the army and the police will be on red alert on Dec 31. All international flights by
Air Canada will stop in the afternoon of Dec 31. All pension and social security
checks will be in the mail prior to January 1st. And the cost for the tax payers,
in Quebec only, for these "precautions": $650 millions!!
They would not do all this and invest so much - while they have made so many very
deep cuts in health care and education! - in the best Y2K-prepared country on Earth
if they were not so sure in fact that things will go mightily wrong in 43 days from
43 more days of sleepwalking into the chasm and living into a fairy tale...
Brace yourself for much more Y2K material shortly dear friends

Subject: Russian history's vilest acts being replayed in Chechnya
Date: Thu, 18 Nov 1999
The following article by Ben Stein is a fitting reminder of the reality of today.
Does it have to be this way?
Keep committed, keep involved.
(Russian translation is available on request)
Russian history's vilest acts being replayed in Chechnya
By Ben Stein
Imagine this: There is a series of bomb blasts in Paris. No one takes responsibility
for the terrorist acts in which more than 100 civilians are killed. There are rumors
that the Surete, France's secret police, is involved. But there are also hints that
the Corsican independence movement is responsible.
The premier of France -- let's just call him Poirot -- is in trouble with the electorate.
He declares that he knows the Corsican revolutionaries did the bombing. He has no
proof, but he says he knows.
Poirot launches a major invasion of Corsica. He bombs the capital, Ajaccio, to rubble.
He sets up blockades to starve the Corsican people into submission. He has his jets
strafe columns of refugees trying to leave the island.
Now, again, he has shown no proof that the Corsicans are behind the terrorist acts
in Paris. Even if they are, he is bombing women and children, not the terrorists.
His dirty work kills tens of thousands of civilians. He brags on TV of the prowess
of his army and air force is killing the innocent.
Now, how would the world community react to that? Or to a huge package of International
Monetary Fund aid to France? Or to declarations of support for the elderly, ill president
of France, who lurches above the killer Poirot in a sort of inebriated figurehead position?
Or would there instead be massive effusions of anger at France's government, isolation
of France and worldwide condemnation?
Consider other players
What, for example, if this involved England and Ireland or the United States and Puerto
Rico? What if the United States started to bomb San Juan because of alleged acts
of terror by Puerto Rican nationalists in New York?
Yet this is precisely what is happening in the Chechnyan war now being waged one-sidedly
by the lumbering but massive Red Army (oops, what is it called now?) against the
civilian population of Chechnya, a breakaway province still considered part of Russia.
In the name of suppressing a few terrorists -- who have not been convincingly connected
to the bombings in Russia -- a whole civilian population is under threat of extermination,
and thousands are dying.
The U.S. response has been muted finger pointing from Secretary of State Madeleine
Albright and virtual silence from President Clinton. There also has been almost total
silence from media.
What Russia is doing in Chechnya is an order of magnitude more violent and cruel than
what the Serbs did in Kosovo, far worse than what Indonesia did in East Timor, light
years worse than what Mexico did in Chiapas. It's the Stalin-style liquidation of
nationalities, the Red Army in its worst days warring against the helpless.
But the world is silent. In fact, amazingly, the United States is offering to help
Russia with advanced technology to build an anti-missile defense against "rogue states"
such as North Korea, Iraq and Iran.
The only major "rogue state" on the world stage is Russia, acting in the vilest traditions
of the bad old days of Stalin. How can we think of continuing to help such a government
with money or technology? What more evidence do we need that the new Russia is still a dangerous, albeit wounded, bear?
If the United States keeps silent while a large nation murders tens of thousands of
civilians, but throws its weights around against a little country such as Yugoslavia
or a big but poorly armed country such as Indonesia, what moral stature do we have?
If we cannot even stop writing checks to a government that murders its own civilians
to divert attention from its political weakness, what hope do we have of a world
order based on the humane treatment of peoples?
The silence over the building genocide in Chechnya tells a dismal old story: Those
who have the power to get away with genocide still can. This is no new world order,
just old-style hypocrisy and shameful cowardice.

Subject: LOVE and JOY just don't CUT IT... Sorry!
When I read this letter is when I realized that you even HAVE a "positive
only" List, etc. With ALL due respect I ask WHY?... why would you have such
a list? Do people such as Christa believe that if we IGNORE all that
is UGLY and instead CHANT FOR PEACE and HOPE for the "best" and "sew Peace
Quilts" (!!!!!!!!!!!), the ills of the world (humanity) will be resolved and
all that UGLINESS and negativity that they don't want to subject themselves
to (nevermind that IT EXISTS!) will just disappear?
Forgive my intolerance but it is persons such as this and those who would
join a POSITIVE ONLY List, that Albert Einstein was referring to when he said:
"The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are
evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it."
I doubt very much that he was referring to SEWING PEACE QUILTS!!!
Frankly, I myself am beginning to think that maybe this PEACE thing needs to
be reassessed. How many millions of years has MAN been on the planet now?
Maybe more PEACENIKS are not what we need. Maybe what we need is for people
to WAKE UP, smell the coffee, open their eyes and ears (for a change), take a
GOOD LOOK AROUND, find the bad guys (and there's tons of them) and then KICK
SOME GOOD OLD FASHIONED BUTTT!
I don't see MONSANTO SEWING quilts or chanting or praying or singing or
HOPING when it wants to poison most of the earth's population. And neither
should we. Remember that (biblically - - for all the religious peaceniks)
EVEN GOD apparently encouraged the ANGELS TO HAVE A MAJOR "RUMBLE" ...
THANK YOU, Jean !!!!! for all the intense work you do and for the
unfathomable amount of time that that must take! And thank you equally (if
not more) for not choosing POSITIVE LISTS ONLY... coz we'd all be a lot less
informed/prepared/equipped if that were the case! Thank you Jean!
Peace and love and light...
(and information and armaments)
I understand your outburst and why you wanted to make your point. I'm sure many will
agree with you. However I can also understand why some people would prefer not having
to be faced on a regular basis with all that is wrong in this world and I respect
this. As the following, taken from another email received today, makes abundantly clear
in reference to fear-based information and thinking:
What we think about, we bring about.
Form follows thought.
What you see is what you get.
What we dwell upon we tend to create
So similarly, focussing all our attention on a wrong thing and campaigning to make
others aware that it needs to be changes is only one part of the solution. The next
essential part is to make sure everyone knows as well what we are *for* and taking
the necessary steps to constructively make it happen.
To paraphrase a saying from the Star Trek Voyager TV series and put a different twist
on it: "Resistance is futile". Putting all our energies into resisting something
can also ultimately empower the very thing we want to change. And I could also add
that when we come from an emotional level when *reacting* against something, we are then
more ego-driven than soul-driven. Inspiration and inner guidance seldom arise when
you are upset but may happen when you remain emotionally detached from the drama
of the world - which is when you can best tap the limitless resources of divine wisdom that
we are all potentially endowed with as soon as we begin the breathe.
This being stated, I, like you, sometimes relapse into emotionally-driven reactions
and I'm absolutely not ashamed of it. Because we are all humans after all and it
is only by trial and error that we manage to dig out our divine heritage from under
the many layers of cultural mis-programming and often traumatic experiences we have all been
engraved with during this and countless previous lifetimes.

ARE THE EUROPEAN MORE HEALTH-CONSCIOUS AND TAKING A GREATER
RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN HEALTH AND LIFE THAN THE AMERICANS?...
Answer: YES! Sort of - though we have our illusions and faults too!
In Europe at present, 'food politics' is a major agency for wider social
and attitudinal change. Vegetarians and organic consumers are growing in
number, really fast. Ten years ago, Prince Charles was ridiculed for his
advocacy of organic farming, and now the same is happening to his critics -
fascinating! Things have indeed changed.
I think a large part of the problem in USA is its historical situation -
the late 20th C has been America's time, and Americans are now reluctant to
let go of this position and the world-views attached to it, as we enter
into a 21st C world-community situation. USA now has a past but not a
clear realistic future. Britain had the same problem mid-century, as it
had to let go of its empire and its world-dominant position - however, the
price it paid, which USA could learn from, is that it lapsed into three
decades of disorientation, relative powerlessness and large national
identity-problems as a result of this reluctance. Americans could be
forgiven for hanging on to their recent glorious past, except for the
effect this has on the rest of the world.
Another issue is that Europeans still cook their own food and buy the
individual ingredients for it, to quite a high degree - this makes a big
difference in people's values. We do more gardening too. Also
(controversial generalised statement!) European women have not become quite
as masculinised in attitude and behaviour as many American women - they
have not jettisoned quite as many women's sensitivities and values in order
to succeed in the public domain. (Will this observation invoke a blizzard
of e-mails accusing me of chauvinism, I wonder?!).
And there is possibly a larger proportion of men in Europe who have adopted
more sensitised values in recent decades, with regards to food and
lifestyle issues - in the American psyche there might be an unconscious
connection between masculinity, corporatism and denial of such issues as
food politics, which props up the American cover-up on these issues. Also,
since business and agribusiness are nowadays so much a matter of 'national
interest' (like 'defence' used to be in the Cold War), this 'wimpish' stuff
about food politics falls into the category of a 'threat to American
national interest', and therefore a form of unpatriotic/traitorous
behaviour (a leftover shadow of anti-communist McCarthyism).
Good to hear from you again my dear friend. I'll sure include your opiniated comment
in my next series of feedbacks and you might indeed get some interesting feedbacks
on this one ;-)
Let's now hope that soon the US media which impose a quite tight news blackout on
this and many other important issues (perhaps out of crass commercialism -- shallow
and very local-issues news reporting is easier to mass market than intellectually
and morally challenging stuff -- and narrow "Americanism" we-are-the-world kind of attitude)
will begin to show some interest and do some investigative work on this GM issue
-- IF THEIR BOSS WILL JUST LET THEM DO IT!

Subject: Re: "Undisciplined Prayer" Effects? Destructive effects of disinformation.
Could I ask a simple question here about some scriptures. One
scripture tells us to "pray without ceasing" and another says to
"deny oneself", in other words, forget yourself in service to others.
How should we go about doing both of these at once if we simply
pray for ourselves all the time? That seems rather selfish of us.
Also, there's another scripture that says that we are our brother's
keeper and another that says "the effectual fervent prayer of a
righteous man availeth much."
I'm wondering what the situations would be, had the Lightworkers of
the world not sent prayer light to many of the hot spots of the
world? Do you remember when Hitler was turned back from
landing on the English shore and why? It was not the armies of the
free world, it was the prayer work of the Witches of the Black
Forest to save their beloved homeland that stopped him.
I was once in a little church in a small town in Missouri and prayer
was made to protect the town from tornados. Later a tornado was
going right toward the town following the highway and there was no
other road to cause it to change it course. It arrived right at the
city limits and actually dug a deep ditch as some invisible shield
stopped it and it turned away and harmlessly cut a path thru the
woods. What if that person that prayed that prayer had been
selfish and simply prayed from themselves? The town would be
destroyed today and many of the people dead. I was the person
that led that prayer of protection over that town.
These are a few of my instances where prayer helped, I'd love to
hear your evidence where it was destructive.

This is in reference to your question about "scripture" - and the deeper
questions of free-will and "right action."
The definition of scripture is writing. The connotation often used is "holy"
Scriptures are training wheels for spiritual experience; written, translated
and retranslated over the years; edited and revised by many men - often
losing altogether the spiritual experience that the original "enlightened"
writer may have intended.
Various "holy" books contain incredibly diverse statements; it is entirely
possible to "prove" nearly anything as being based in some scripture.
(Specifically including the war and killing such as that which initiated
A good basic rule of thumb with "holy" writing is to loosely accept what
feels right, but suspend absoulute judgement until you have read all of the
world's scripture, and seen where various "holy ones" and their lineage
appear to agree and disagree- the points of common agreement between ALL
scriptures are the best pointers to the original meaning and intent of the
The purpose of Soul incarnating as wo/man is the perfection of the self, a
"performance art" and "eternal" work-in-progress which eventually leads to
greater understanding and awareness via eons of experience- eventually
"freeing" one of birth and rebirth.
Freedom of choice is one part of this equation.
Please feel free to do as you will.
Learning how the physical, astral, causal, mental, & etheric planes work-
how the energies we may feel and direct affect us and "other" eventually
brings one closer to the realization that "other-ness" is illusionary.
"Praying" for "others" is immersion in delusion.
Ignorance of the LAW is no excuse- there is no "judgement" only automatic
action and reaction.
Seeking of enlightenment via direct inner experience (prayer, meditation,
dreams, lucid dreams, "soul travel," and other names for such) is what
spiritual giants have done, and have tried to leave us clues as to how we
may follow them in practice.
The portions of "scripture" which are in mutual agreement seem to indicate
one should seek God(dess) (direct experience) and Love IT, Self, and
Godly-self-as-illusory "other", seek to know IT's WILL - and learn to act in
To presume to know IT's WILL for "other" is to presume to BE "God(dess)"
which is anathema in "scripture" ("THY" will ... not MY will).... and in my
understanding of "reality."
Bringing "MY" will in accordance with IT's will means ACTING as IT does.
The sun shines equally on the "good" and the "wicked".
God(dess) loves all of IT's Creation; thus Creation is sustained and Exists.
Praying for material things or events in the external world indicate to me
an obvious lack of perception as to the proper use of prayer (and other
direct forms of spiritual experience).
God(dess)' LOVE may be likened to infinite COMPASSION.
Compassion is NOT "sympathy" nor PITY.
Sympathy with war's pain means attunement to pain (thereby invitation into
one's personal sphere); Pity means judging the participants (similar
invitation, different route ;)
Compassion remains as an appropriate "right action".
An expression of COMPASSION within "my" heart for "others" who are engaged
in killing and dying is "Godly" but no more so than seeking to approximate
infinite compassion in all regards.
Detached compassion is the highest and best "ascension" to "Godly" ACTION -
which could be well introspected by one's attitudes and reactions to war.
Love is REAL- all else is illusion.
The mother trying to save her baby from bullets; the pilot flying the
fighter jet which is firing them -- both are expressions of GOD(DESS) -- since
I am not GOD, I offer these three my DETACHED COMPASSION, and my knowingness
that GOD IS, that LOVE IS, that PERFECTION UNFOLDS.
Anything less is merely psychic warfare.
We do not have the RIGHT to interfere (though we DO have the right to TRY
and to thus become subject to Karmic reaction), other than to attempt to
influence the warriors to war no more - via worldly means - not psychic
If you believe that God(dess)' creation is imperfect to the point where
unenlightened mortals should band together and attempt psychic surgery on
other groups of mortals, then this is perhaps a fitting path toward
enlightentment for you to tread - I will personally attempt a more direct
emulation of God(dess)' in allowing free will and engaging in detached

Subject: CSPAN/IRS showdown...or no showdown...but, No HOAX!!!
From: email@example.com (Larry Becraft)
To whom it may concern:
This last week, the Net was buzzing with information about Bob Schulz's
"IRS Showdown II" scheduled for the National Press Club in DC on
November 13, 1999. Lots of people expected C-Span to cover this meeting
like it did the previous one, but that did not happen.
On July 1and 2, 1999, Bob Schulz from New York sponsored his first "IRS
Showdown" in DC. Speakers at this first meeting were Bill Benson (author
of "The Law That Never Was" which addresses the question of the
non-ratification of the 16th Amendment), Bill Conklin, Joe Banister
(former IRS Special Agent), Devvy Kidd and myself. Fortunately on July
2, C-Span broadcast the second day of that meeting nationwide and untold
numbers of Americans caught it. Lots of interest in that first Showdown
was generated as a consequence.
Bob planned his second Showdown for this last weekend, November 13,
because of the apparent success of the first.
About 30 minutes before the meeting was to start, everyone was
anticipating the arrival of the C-Span crew. But when showtime arrived
and C-Span failed to appear, we had to start the meeting anyway. It was
a good, well attended meeting and video tapes will be made available
from several sources, one of whom will be Devvy Kidd whose webpage is
A particular highlight of this meeting was the speech given by Dave
Bosset. Dave is an accountant by profession as well as a computer
program writer. He is a businessman from Florida and recently (this last
June) applied for a refund from the IRS regarding withholding taxes
that his company had paid on behalf of its employees. Dave received that
refund. He told those attending this meeting about what he did and the
legal basis for his refund claim. This is a "first" and lots of people
are interested in this issue. I hope that Dave soon sets up his own

We were very disappointed that C-Span failed to broadcast the second
meeting of IRS Showdown. Presently, this is what we know regarding the
failure of C-Span to attend and broadcast Showdown II:
1. Bob Schulz believes that a government employee, Joel Gray, was
instrumental in convincing C-Span to not attend;
2. When the IRS Showdown was over, we went back to the hotel. Bill
Benson received an important message to call his wife, and that lead to
certain very intriguing information. Bill had informed lots of people
that at Showdown II, he would identify Senator Orin Hatch as a party who
attempted to buy all of Bill's work and books regarding the
non-ratification of the 16th Amendment so that this information would
not "get into the hands of the kooks out there" across America. Bill did
tell everyone at Showdown II what Sen. Hatch's "henchmen" tried to do.
But Bill received after the meeting a very important message from a good
and reliable friend: C-Span did not attend and broadcast this meeting
because it was paid "big bucks" not to.
As more information is learned regarding this C-Span matter, I expect
Bob Schulz to post that information to his webpage. Why don't you
periodically check there to receive information about any late breaking
Sponsors of the meeting, the pro-constitution group called "We the People"

The rest of their web site will give more details.
HERE IS SOME INFO ABOUT THE FIRST MEETING:
At the first summit, former IRS special agent Joseph Banister announced that he personally
had asked his (at-the-time) employer (the IRS) to show him the statutes which make
an American liable for the income tax. He never got a response. He was subsequently let go from the agency.
(Please, view this link and know, we do not have to file.
If you did not get to see the first summit, you can read about it here.
At the first summit, Mr. Bill Benson, discussed his book "The Law That Never Was,"
in which he proves beyond a shadow of doubt that the 16th Amendment was never properly
ratified by the states. During his presentation, Mr. Benson commented that several
years ago, shortly after he completed his research into the non-ratification of the 16th
Amendment, he was offered a very large sum of money by a then presidential candidate
to not make the information public for fear it would destroy the entire tax system.
The following information is included only because so many people have been inquiring
as to what is going on and why it is not on CSPAN. This may help answer those questions.
Information about Bill Benson the man, and his book is available here: http://www.trustclarks.com/theman.html
A list of the constitutional defects in the non-ratification of the 16th Amendment
are outlined here: http://www.constitution.org/ica_ltnw.txt Not shown are the details
of each states respective defect, which is extensively detailed in Mr. Benson's book.
