Miscellaneous Subjects #65: The Mayan prophecies + Some Feedbacks + Fast your seat-belts + COMMITMENT CEREMONY + FLUTTER, BYE + Mass Extinction Events + Steve Greer interview at Prophets Conference + Click to Give Water + Male vs Female!

Hello everyone

I've been back from vacation for a few days now - I had a great time in wonderful Belize! - and I'm trying to catch up with everything as you may imagine, which is why I've not been able to resume earlier sending my usual compilations. I hope you all enjoyed this break and are now ready to keep up once again with the usual blend of hard-to-find or unreported information networked through this service.

One of the really high points of my trip has been reading the book "Matthew, tell me about heaven" co-authored by Suzy Ward and her deceased son Matthew about the afterlife. You can be sure you'll be hearing soon from me in much greater details about this and a second book they wrote and I'm quite confident most of you will be as much enthralled as I have been if and when you decide to avail yourself of this most exceptional source of en-light-enment about what happens when we make our transition into the heavenly realm of Light and Love awaiting us. As already mentioned in a recent post to you (see at, those 2 books should be available shortly through Xlibris.

As usual I look forward to reading your comments - whenever you feel prompted to share your thoughts with me/us - and anything of interest that catches your attention and which you feel might be of value to the other 1800+ people on this list - this being said of course with my usual reservations about the need to avoid overwhelming me with too much stuff...

As you'll soon see, I've already some pretty interesting compilations in progress for you.

In the meantime, I wish you all my best ;-)

The Mayan prophecies

Another amazing book I read while in Belize is "The Mayan prophecies: unlocking the secrets of a lost civilization" by Adrian Gilbert and Maurice Cotterell that was given to me by another traveller. Here is a brief synopsis found on the Web:

Gilbert and Cotterell, both scientists and writers, unlock some of the mysteries of the Mayan Calendar and explore their beliefs and accomplishments in light of recent discoveries that concur with the Mayan prediction of a major cataclysm on December 22, 2012. Who were the Maya? How were these ancient astronomers able to precisely measure time over thousands of years? What happened to the Mayan civilization? Gilbert and Cotterell, both scientists and writers, unlock the mysteries of the Maya, explore their beliefs, and reveal their accomplishments in this international bestseller.

Reviewer: Andyrew from Beaver, PA USA
Starting off I knew nothing of native Central Americans. This book has taught me a lot about the Mayans, Aztecs, Olmecs, and Toltecs. If you have an interest in this subject, I say give the book a try. The main focus of the book is a prophecy the Mayans made about a worldwide catastrophe that is supposed to come about in 2012, what their basis for this prediction is, and if there's any scientific knowledge to back this prediction up. You may not be a person into end of days predictions, but the book still offers a lot of knowledge about many different aspects of Central America. The book covers things such as how Central American knowledge and beliefs could be tied to the lost continent of Atlantis (why some people think Atlantis existed), how the Aztec and Mayan calendars work, what gods they worshiped, what events they celebrated and feared, their accurate astronomy, ties they could have to Europe, one of the reasons they may have declined, a possibility as to why the serpent is so prevalent in their culture, how the Central American rattlesnake cult could have come about, how sunspot cycles affected the Mayans, how and why sunspots are tied to the Mayan prophecy. Another aspect of the book I liked is the author's willingness to take a serious look a little known archeological theories presented by people that do not have a big name is the field." CLIP

Geophysical Condition
1: Earth's Rising Base Frequency: Earth's background base frequency, or "heartbeat", (called Schumann resonance, or SR) is rising dramatically. Though it varies among geographical regions, for decades the overall measurement was 7.8 cycles per second. This was once thought to be a constant; global military communications developed on this frequency. Recent reports set the rate at over 11 cycles, and climbing. Science doesn't know why, or what to make of it. Gregg Braden found data collected by Norwegian and Russian researchers on this; it's not widely reported in the U.S. (The only reference to SR to be found in the Seattle Library reference section, is tied to the weather. Science acknowledges SR as a sensitive indicator of temperature variations and worldwide weather conditions. Braden believes the fluctuating SR may be a factor in the severe storms, floods, and weather of recent years.)

Geophysical Condition
2: Earth's Diminishing Magnetic Field: While earth's "pulse" rate is rising, her magnetic field strength, on the other hand, is declining. According to Professor Bannerjee of the University of New Mexico, the field has lost up to half its intensity in the last 4,000 years. And because a forerunner of magnetic polar reversals is this field strength, Prof. Bannerjee believes that another reversal is due. Braden believes that because these cyclical Shifts are associated with reversals, Earth's geological record indicating magnetic reversals also marks previous Shifts in history. And, within the enormous time scale represented, there were quite a few of them.

In response to Matthew's Webb's letter - Reactions to Madness of Materialism

Matthew, surely no reader of Jean's invaluable compilations can disagree
that materialism (in my mind, greed) has caused myriad unconscionable
conditions in our world. But also I believe that no reader of Jean's
reports falls into the mansions/ diamonds/designer clothes category you are
addressing. You aren't reaching those oblivious, self-indulgent people
through this means, you're reaching like-minded souls who do have grave
concerns and are spiritually motivated to be doing whatever is within their
means to alleviate the appalling conditions about which you write.

Yes, probably most of us do still continue to heat and light our homes, to
drive to work when no public transportation is available, to buy rather than
grow our food, and even to have vacations where spending is inevitable. But
is it necessary that we forego all comforts and conveniences while half the
world is suffering at bare subsistence level in order for us to recognize
that what is going on is ungodly and each of us must help as we can to turn
things around? We cannot be in those places of such desperation to
personally see what is happening, but we can believe that every prayer,
every deed toward positive changes throughout Earth is an important step in
achieving them.

It may appear that our world is on the brink of extinction, but I hope you
will take heart in the information that I receive telepathically: These
abhorrent situations are literally being "brought to light" so they can be
healed; without the "light" being shed upon them, we would not know about
their existence and thus could not be part of the healing. Please be
assured that we are not alone in this. Yes, we must participate, as you
wrote, but immeasurable help is being given by light beings in our universe.
Matthew, let this light come into your heart and mind to relieve the
heaviness, dispel the disillusionment, and uplift your spirit. You --
WE! -- are not serving alone.

Dear Jean

I know I don't respond to your fascinating emails, but do rest assured that
I find them of great service, I also worry that you may not want to hear
from me as you must be inundated with emails.

I assume you have read the AA Bailey books, because you knew Jan
Nation....and so I would like to quote from page 68 of Discipleship in the
New Age Volume 2. I believe this will encourage and help our group who seem
so depressed and overwhelmed by the world condition. ..." The danger of
"imperil" as M. Morya has called it, is not in fact irritation in the
ordinary connotation of the word.

The surface ripples of ordinary irritation and the evanescent angers to
which all disciples are prone are relatively of small importance. They pass
and, in the sumtotal of the soul's attitudes to the personality, evoke no
response or registration whatsoever. what is referred to is the reaction of
the Disciple to WORLD EVIL. This produces uncertainty as to the future,
annoyance at what is being done throughout the planet by non-disciples,
criticism of national and international planning and a general atmosphere of
unhappiness, plus a sense of superior knowledge. All this is expressed in a
negative, unconstructive manner. To this many disciples are today prone;
they need to realise that world affairs ARE NOT and cannot be moulded or
determined by any hierarchical knowledge in the possession of the disciple.
World affairs and conditions have necessarily to be based upon the demand
and the point in evolution of the mass of humanity, working through their
representatives, chosen or imposed, in every country.

This demand can be and is affected, modified and spiritualised by the
attitude and the teaching of disciples everywhere who are vocal and of
humanitarian instinct. IF, however, the will and knowledge of disciples in
all nations were to condition world affairs and control entirely the
political, economic and social life of the people, it would produce a far
more serious cleavage than now exists, for instance between the rich and
poor, or between the classes and the castes, for it would produce a
pronounced line of demarcation between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of

This would run counter to hierarchical intention, which is rapidly healing
the existant breach, and thus offset the work which Christ set out to do on
earth. This point is often overlooked by well-intentioned disciples.

Hope this helps Jean, also it might interest you to know that John Howard
the Prime Minister of Australia stated that if what happened in the USA
regarding the Gore/Bush controversy were to happen in Australia that we
would all have had to revote...the entire nation would have had to go to the
ballot box again, of course what other course of action would be acceptable
to the Australian public!!.

In the English parliament it was noted that the validity or otherwise of
Bush's claim was questionable and undemocratic. And Germany and France also
made some uncomplimentary statements about the Bush win.

A wise American co-worker also stated that "this was the hammer-blow that
was needed to destroy a crystallised, corrupt political system and if Gore
had got in it would have delayed the destruction by 4 more years."

In the book "Problems of Humanity" written over 50yrs ago The Tibetan stated
that one of the major problems of the USA was its corrupt politics, and
that this would have to one day be addressed.

So what has happened is that which we have known for so long is now OUT IN
THE OPEN for alll the world and all of America to SEE. Only then will they
be able to address the problem, which indeed many are doing and so it seems
that what has happend is a good thing after all for changes will be made.
I had an American client come into my store on the day Bush was placed as
President and I asked him what he thought, he said and I quote " morally
Gore should have won but legally Bush won ."

I looked at him with astonishment in my face and voice and asked him..
"What is the difference?" He couldn't answer. What a distorted way of
seeing things I thought, and if this is how the majority think, what hope is
there? Perhaps though, he went off and had a rethink, I hope so.
Anyhow please know that I am grateful for your information and I hope you
keep on keeping on.

Much love, much Light,

It's highly unlikely that you don't know about the following report - and that none of your other correspondents has forwarded it to you - but just in case, here it is. [Maybe you've published something very like it already, which I missed - in which case forgive me for wasting your time.

Love and thoughts and thanks, as ever, from

[Michael Joseph]

An article from the Monday 19 February edition of the London Evening Standard by Geraint Smith, their science correspondent:

Parts of Europe will be lost to the sea and half the continent's mountain glaciers and snowcaps will vanish in the coming century as the effects of man-made global warming take hold, according to an authoritative report published today. Northern Europe, including Britain, will become prone to increased flooding from heavier winter rainfall and higher sea levels, while rising temperatures in southern Europe are likely to reduce agricultural productivity, a report by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change announced today.

England is likely to become Mediterranean, the Alps will lose half their glaciers and snowfields, probably killing much of the ski trade, and the temperature in southern Europe will become too hot for holidays.

The Americas will not escape either. Florida and parts of the US Atlantic coast are likely to be lashed by storms and rising sea levels, with the number of destructive hurricanes likely to rise significantly and to become more extreme in both wind speed and torrential rainfall.

It is the second volume of the report which talks of potentially enormous loss of life and economic costs. The panel is the most authoritative body of expertise on the subject, consisting of 700 expert scientists across the world. The panel's reports are issued only after scrupulous examin- ation and rigorous debate with government representatives and within the scientific community.

They report the arid conditions of northern Africa will probably cross the Mediterranean. Rising temperatures will bring increased risk of tropical diseases to Britain and the north of Europe, with malaria returning after nearly 300 years.

Changes farther south are likely to add to the pressures on Europe, bringing the possibility of human migration on a scale never seen before. The changing climate would would put intolerable pressure on Africa, reducing rainfall still further, increasing coastal erosion and flooding - and possibly inundating the Nile Delta and the most productive parts of Egypt.

In Asia, tens of millions of people are likely to find their homes destroyed by rising sea levels, with potentially enormous loss of life. Global economic losses from so-called natural catastrophes increased from about $4 billion per year in the 1950s to $40 billion in 1999. Total costs were in reality twice as high, taking into account smaller weather- related events. The report says that these already poorer countries would bear the brint of devastating changes.

All this is likely to force mass migration of tens of millions of people. Where those displaced from Africa and Asia will go is not made clear - but Europe appears to be the most likely destination. In the natural world, rates of extinction are likely to increase dramatically as habitat is wiped out.

Changing rainfall patterns coupled with population growth would exert huge pressure on water supplies, the report predicted. At present, 1.7 billion people live in areas where water resources are tight. This is likely to increase to around 5.4 billion in the next 25 years.

The report said that the change in temperature was most extreme and rapid in the polar regions, and this could have potentially disastrous consequences: "Polar regions contain important drivers of change. Once triggered, they may continue for centuries, long after greenhouse gas concentrations are stabilised, and cause irreversible impacts on ice sheets, global ocean circulation and sea-rise."

In the United States, a sea-level rise would result in increased coastal erosion, flooding and the risk of storm surges, particularly in Florida and much of the Atlantic coast.

This report follows one published last month in Shanghai, which predicted that global temperatures could rise by as much as 5.8C over the coming century. It said there was clear evidence that industrial pollution, including emissions from cars, was responsible. The third volume of the report, on solutions, will be released next month.

Environmental news from GRIST MAGAZINE

After a weekend-long meeting in Trieste, Italy, environmental
ministers from Russia and the world's top seven industrialized
countries pledged yesterday that they would continue to work together
to fight global warming. In a formal declaration, the ministers
wrote, "We commit ourselves ... to strive to reach agreement on
outstanding political issues and to ensure in a cost-effective manner
the environmental integrity of the Kyoto Protocol." The statement
also said that the countries should achieve the bulk of their
reductions in greenhouse gas emissions at home, rather than buying
the right to pollute from other countries. The real shocker? -- that
U.S. EPA Administrator Christie Todd Whitman, the Bush administration

Subject: Mass Extinction Events
Date: Tue, 6 Mar 2001

Just saw a documentary on the Discovery Science channel about the
greatest mass extinction the planet had ever seen, long before the
destruction of the dinosaurs. The creatures in that period were in
transition between Reptiles and Mammals. Basically, they were much
like slightly saurian pigs with fangs.

A massive heat wave hit the planet, dissolving limestone which
produced an acid which took most of the oxygen out of the air and
water, and produced massive CO2 instead.

Only one large semi-mammal survived and a few tiny reptiles.
Basically, it was that piglike creature with a flexible snout. The
small reptile became the dinosaurs while the piglike critter became
tiny rodents.

Five mass extinctions show up in the fossil record, most worse than
the asteroid killoff that destroyed the Dinosaurs, and most were
likely results of the same kind of mass release of carbon dioxide as
the first one.

The documentary's study of mass extinctions produced one very
important conclusion. That Humanity is another kind of extinction
force, and is causing the worse of all mass extinction events, the 6th
mass extinction event in the planet's history.

Of course, the scientists in the documentary assume that evolution is
random, and humans have no more purpose than any other creatures,
pointing to the extinctions as steps that evolved us as proof that any
other conclusion is irrational, but the same evidence, seeing Nature
as a single cell entity, 'proves' that we are evolved as a response to
those same extinction events.

Of course, they are specialists, which mean they don't take into
account Humanity and it's abilities outside the concept of us being
Mammals. They cannot see that brains are not, and have never been, of
survival weight in the wild until we discovered with our brains the
characteristics of nature we could manipulate, which we call 'science'
and 'technology'..

The specialists who reveal the data in the documentary cannot realize
that our evolution of brains was a special case evolutionary event,
under specific conditions, and that this could not be random. They
would, of course, reject the idea that the evolution of brains is part
of a much large evolutionary strategy, since they do not see _any_
strategy as a characteristic of evolution.

But the scientific proof they have generated that Humanity is indeed
the cause of a mass extinction event more destructive than any past
mass extinction events leads to the likelihood that without conscious
species-wide change of mind this planet may, in a few hundred years,
contain only a few species: Humans, rodents, and some insects, like
cockroaches. All other non-plant species are dropping in number and
range very rapidly.

This is significant new data, and should be a pivotal datapoint for
those who think we should only pay attention to our own little lives,
(the 'square inch' philosophy) and ignore everything on larger scales.
We are all in this together. We can, through how we think and our
choices, commit 'sins of omission' as well as 'sins of commission'.
This data should put both into a better perspective, especially

way people think, thus, we drift towards unparalleled catastrophe."

- Albert Einstein.

The essence of survival is adaptation. The real law of Nature is
'Adapt or Die'. For Humanity, Adaptation is a matter of what we think
we know, what we take for granted as being True. To adapt and survive,
we individually have to discard everything we were taught and
reconceive everything about the reality of existence and the
possibility of prosperous survival in ecological balance. To survive
long term, we need to fundamentally change the way we think.

Greeting Jean,

Notes From The Prophets Conference ~ Palm Springs

Transcribed Notes From The Prophets Conferences for your consideration.

During a question and answer session at the Palm Springs gathering last December, we had the following insights from Steven Greer, M.D., who is working to bring to light information he claims is being kept from the public regarding extraterrestrial visitors.

The following question was in reference to the Sterling Engine as well as information translated from the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Dr. Steven Greer: I would like to address this young ladies question, which I think was very important. And the reason I think it's a very important point is that we may have an eternity to evolve in consciousness, but we are running out of time quickly to fix the way we are destroying this biosphere. And this is the problem we must deal with urgently. And there's a saying, "When there is the most great task at hand, even the important ones have to be delayed." Now this is why we are working very hard with both political, scientific, inventors, everything else trying to bring out exactly the technological capability along with the consciousness.

But the technological capability to establish a sustainable, peaceful civilization on this planet, we do not have that ability today in the overt common society. It exists within covert projects, which you and I have paid for. And I'm not speaking by theory or speculation. This is what we know and this is what we can prove. Now how do you get it out there?

There is a very powerful international group that has delayed the disclosure of this stuff not for so much of the, "oh, my God, it's going to knock Catholicism on its ass and theology on its ass and philosophy on its ass and it's a paradigm busting thing." We're talking a six trillion dollar a year sector of our economy called the energy sector, which would be terminated, as we know it. And this is no small deal at all geopolitically or otherwise. These are the issues on a practical level that whoever that was who asked that question it's a very important issue because even the extraterrestrial experience that many people who have had contact with ETs, including myself have had, is that they are extremely concerned about those issues, ionizing nuclear radiation, weapons of mass destruction, the collapse of the biosphere, the use of poisonous chemicals that we don't need to be using, internal combustion engines, which we should have retired in the 50s and could have done so.

These are important issues, because it is true that paradigms and revolutions in thought may take decades and centuries and cycles and eons. However, Gaia, the earth cannot withstand the abuse she's undergone the last 100 years for another 20. Forget 80 years. We know that we're going to reach a terminal decay velocity of decay well within the next 20 years. And so the people that I'm working with are urgently trying to resolve this issue.

And this is something that if this is the area that you're interested in and can help in, let us know. But it is something that has to be addressed, because you can philosophize till the cows come home, but ultimately we all want to have a world to give our children. I would like to hand off to my four daughters a world that is sustainable and that isn't facing eminent geophysical collapse.

Male vs Female!

An English teacher was explaining to his students the concept of gender
association in the English language. He noted how hurricanes at one time
were given only female names, and how ships and planes were usually
referred to as "she." One of the students raised her hand and asked, "What
gender is a computer?"

The teacher wasn't certain. So he divided the class into two groups: males
in one, females in the other, and asked them to decide if a computer should
be masculine or feminine. Both groups were asked to give four reasons for
their recommendations.

The group of women concluded that computers should be referred to as
masculine because:

1. In order to get their attention, you have to turn them on.

2. They have a lot of data but are still clueless.

3. They are supposed to help you solve your problems, but half the time,
they ARE the problem.

4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that, if you had waited a
little longer, you could have had a better model.

The men, on the other hand, decided that computers should definitely be
referred to as feminine because:

1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic.

2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is
incomprehensible to everyone else.

3. Even your smallest mistakes are stored in long-term memory for later

4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half
your paycheck on accessories for it.
