Eternal Freedom #6: Resistance is *Not* Futile

Hello everyone

This one is really about educating ourselves, speaking out and taking some kind of action (constructive and peaceful of course!) in response to the current attempt to turn back the clocks on our civil liberties (and much much more) and precipitate us all in a terrible war.

Read it all if you can, explore the links (a must for this one!) and network as widely as possible.

The time is now - more than ever!

"If you choose to stay silent, yes, of course, God, in His infinite love and compassion will allow it to happen, because that is your choice. The last and greatest gift unto creation is free will. You now have the power and freedom to choose, and you will sleep and dwell and work and live with the consequences of your choice. The divine irony is that all roads, all human choices, in the perfect tapestry of God’s will and infinite consciousness, will ultimately arrive at the same place."

Thanks so much for your continued work.

I am writing to let you know about a very unusual Monthly Weather Report that we have included this week on Children of Light. It is based on some very pressing information we received from Gabriel....about the importance of speaking up for peace before too much gets passed in Congress in the name of fear.

If you have time to check it out, so that we can help educate people about possibilities, so that they can take action if they choose...

AND MY REPLY WAS (in part)

Thanks for sharing your concern on this. Time is very short indeed and I'm quite sure it won't be possible to stop some kind of serious restrictions to be put upon the freedom of people in the U.S. first and later on around the world. If we could be sure those measures will not be abused for other darker purposes and will indeed specifically serve to avert more tragedies like the Sept 11 one, it would all be just fine with me. An idea discussed to allay the fears of potential infringements upon essential civil liberties it to put a 2 year time-limit to such measures, but of course the U.S. government does not want to hear anything about this. Let us hope enough good people have enough spine to stand up to this bulldozing of civil liberties to prevent some of the worst aspects of what is considered to pass into law. I may be naive but I still trust that Good will prevail over Evil even within the confines of the neo-capitalist governments holding power for now in most of the Western world.

Dear Jean:

Now that we've waded knee-deep in the rhetoric of who, how and why ~ is'nt it time all these well-meaning people with all this goodwill, intelligence and spiritual awareness started doing something -- dare I say -- REAL - like STOP DRIVING - FULL STOP ? I can't believe that, in all the information I have read over the past two weeks, NO-ONE has suggested that we start to BOYCOTT GASOLINE - which, it is quite obvious, is the root cause of the problem.

People are so ADDICTED to driving their cars that they would sooner start WWIII than give up their car! Well, I for one, gave up my car THREE years ago because I was APPALLED at the UNRELENTING numbers of new cars being manufactured - and the mindless morons who drive them. What is it going to take for people to GET A GRIP on reality and wake up to the fact that -- THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL! It's time to WALK YOUR TALK, gasoline-addicts, SUV SOBs and MOTOR MORONS everywhere. PEACE,

Barbara Peck

NOTE FROM JEAN: An interesting alternative is offered by the car-sharing companies Flexcar and Boston-based Zipcar. Both companies work to reduce the number of cars on the road by enticing customers to share vehicles and avoid the hassles of car ownership. Customers pay for the amount of time they use a car; the companies pay for gas, insurance, and maintenance. Details at:

Bin Laden Family Could Profit From a Jump In Defense Spending Due to Ties to U.S. Bank
(September 27, 2001)

If the U.S. boosts defense spending in its quest to stop Osama bin Laden's alleged terrorist activities, there may be one unexpected beneficiary: Mr. bin Laden's family.

Among its far-flung business interests, the well-heeled Saudi Arabian clan -- which says it is estranged from Osama -- is an investor in a fund established by Carlyle Group, a well-connected Washington merchant bank specializing in buyouts of defense and aerospace companies.

Through this investment and its ties to Saudi royalty, the bin Laden family has become acquainted with some of the biggest names in the Republican Party. In recent years, former President Bush, ex-Secretary of State James Baker and ex-Secretary of Defense Frank Carlucci have made the pilgrimage to the bin Laden family's headquarters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Bush makes speeches on behalf of Carlyle Group and is senior adviser to its Asian Partners fund, while Mr. Baker is its senior counselor. Mr. Carlucci is the group's chairman. Osama is one of more than 50 children of Mohammed bin Laden, who built the family's $5 billion business, Saudi Binladin Group, largely with construction contracts from the Saudi government.

Osama worked briefly in the business and is believed to have inherited as much as $50 million from his father in cash and stock, although he doesn't have access to the shares, a family spokesman says. Because his Saudi citizenship was revoked in 1994, Mr. bin Laden is ineligible to own assets in the kingdom, the spokesman added.

And Osama bin Laden still visits Saoudi Arabia and is not estranged from his family there, as is being reported in American government circles. At least 100,000 Zulu translations of the Q'uoran were distributed in South Africa. This was confirmed by Yusuf Deedat, Bin Laden's representative in Durban. He and his father Ahmed visited Saudi Arabia to confer with the Bin-Laden family -- which is financing several of Deedat's projects. they also saw Osama there frequently.

Pakistan's ex-spy chief blames Mossad

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- The Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the United States were perpetrated by renegade U.S. Air Force elements working in conjunction with Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service, according to the retired Pakistani general who is closest to the Taliban and Osama bin Laden.

Gen. Hameed Gul, head of Inter Services Intelligence, the equivalent of a CIA-cum-FBI combination, during the war against the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan, spent two weeks in the war-torn country immediately prior to Sept. 11. He has been acting as "strategic adviser" to Pakistan's extremist religious political parties. Four religious leaders left his house in the army's principal garrison town as this reporter arrived at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. The interview lasted 90 minutes.

Already countless millions of Muslims believe that the World Trade Center and Pentagon suicide attacks were part of a Mossad plot to force the United States into confrontation with the Muslim world. Now Gul has added a new disinformation wrinkle to the plot. And what Gul says or writes is taken at face value by religious leaders and is repeated in thousands of mosques at Friday prayers.

In an exclusive interview with United Press International, the fundamentalist general said it is now clear that there was also a plot by U.S. Air Force officers against the Pentagon.

"The twin towers were first attacked at 8:45 a.m.," he said, "and four flights were diverted from their assigned air space, and yet Air Force jets didn't scramble until 10 a.m. That smacks of a small-scale Air Force rebellion, a coup attempt against the Pentagon perhaps? Radars are jammed, transponders fail. No IFF -- friend or foe identification -- challenge ... This was clearly an inside job. (President) Bush was afraid and rushed to the shelter of a nuclear bunker.

"(Bush) clearly feared a nuclear situation. Who could that have been? Will that also be hushed up in the investigation, like the Warren report after the Kennedy assassination?"

Gul said that his friend bin Laden had sworn to him on the Koran that he was not involved.

"From a cave inside a mountain or a peasant's hovel," Gul asked, how could bin Laden mount such a sophisticated operation? "Let's be serious," he said with a smile. "Mossad and its American associates are the obvious culprits," he added by asking, "Who benefits from the crime?"

Asked why Israel would benefit, Gul replied, "Israel knows it has a short shelf-life before it is overwhelmed by demographics (and it) has now handed the (Bush administration) the opportunity it has been waiting for to consolidate America's imperial grip on the Gulf and acquire control of the Caspian basin by extending its military presence in Central Asia."

Gul said the U.S. plan was "the destabilization of Pakistan because it is a Muslim nuclear state. The U.S. wants to isolate Pakistan from China as part of its containment policy. President Nixon's book 'The Real War' said China would be the superpower of the 21st century. The U.S. is also creating hostility between Pakistan and Afghanistan, two Muslim states, to reverse the perception that the Islamic world now has its own nuclear weapons. Bush 43 doesn't realize he is being manipulated by people who understand geopolitics. He is not leading but being led. All he can do is think in terms of the wanted-dead-or-alive culture which is how Hollywood conditions the masses to think and act."

"Bush 43" is actually Washington shorthand for distinguishing President George W. Bush from his father. President George W. Bush is the 43rd president: George Bush Sr. was the 41st.

Gul admitted that he turned against America when the United States walked away from Afghanistan following the Soviet withdrawal in 1989.

"We were all pro-American (during the war) but then America left us in the lurch and everything went to pieces, including Afghanistan."

Asked if the United States was now his enemy, Gul replied, "Is the U.S. national interest in contradiction with the Muslim world? The U.S. needs oil, as do its European allies. You have between 6 and 8 million American Muslims and their ranks are growing. About the same number in Europe. Israel aside, we are America's natural allies. Professor Sam Huntington in his (book) 'Clash of Civilizations' puts Confucius and Judeo-Christians in one corner, and us in the other. His prescription is wrong but is being adopted by Bush 43 who has now put 60 countries on his hit list. This is the diabolical school that wants to launch an anti-Muslim 'crusade.' Muslims understood what Bush meant when he used that word. We need a meeting, not a clash, of civilizations."

If Pakistan gives the U.S. base facilities, Gul warned, "we will have a national upheaval" and if the United States attacks Afghanistan, there will be "a general jihad (holy war) ... and Pakistan will be engulfed in the firestorm. So I can only hope that cooler heads will prevail in Washington."

Asked to consider the possibility that bin Laden -- or OBL as he is referred to in Pakistani conversations -- was lying to him and is indeed guilty as charged by the United States, Gul said, "If Taliban are given irrefutable evidence of his guilt, I am in favor of a fair trial. In America one is entitled to a jury of peers. But he has no American peers. The Taliban would not object, in the event of a prima face case, to an international Islamic court meeting in The Hague. They would extradite Osama to the Netherlands."

Here are a couple excerpts:

TOP_VIEW has just conducted a brief yet immeasurably important phone interview -- with an Air Force intelligence specialist.

The interview was carried out this evening, over two days after the incredible death and devastation that took place in New York City and Washington D.C.

Our Air Force source told us his superiors had activated him at about 10 AM Tuesday morning.

Overall what is stated plainly and unequivocally is of absolutely paramount importance for every single person in this nation and the world: certainly among those of us who value our inalienable human rights and liberties and want them to remain un-imperiled, un-abrogated and unabridged.

TOP_VIEW: Are you saying that there was cooperation and collaboration between elements of our government and the perpetrators?

INTEL SOURCE: No. What I'm saying is that these groups were the perpetrators of the action, right down the line from top to bottom.

TOP_VIEW: This is really incredibly shocking, what you're saying here. Did I understand correctly, that you say elements of the federal government were the prime force behind these so-called terrorist attacks Tuesday?

INTEL SOURCE: That's correct. Absolutely.

TOP_VIEW: Well that's something I wanted to get to. The primary motivation for an atrocity of this magnitude would seem to be to soften up the country for some serious curtailment of civil liberties, in the name of protecting us from such "terrorist" attacks. I've likened it to Hitler's burning of the Reichstag in Germany.

INTEL SOURCE: That's a good comparison. There's also other agendas having to do with control of the Middle East oil fields, and things related to that.

TOP_VIEW: Is there anything else in particular you'd care to say, any advice or whatever?

INTEL SOURCE: I'd say that our way of life is facing the biggest threat in our history, and the enemy is very much within. VERY MUCH WITHIN.

TOP_VIEW: So it boils down to: what happened on Tuesday was an inside job?

INTEL SOURCE: Absolutely. All the way down the line and to a much higher level than most of you could ever imagine. There's a very intense struggle going on within our government like I said.

Its experiments in crowd control methods have been widely used on the American public, a surreptitious but nevertheless outrageous assault on human freedom by modifying individual behavior through topical psychology. A German refugee, Kurt Lewin, became director of Tavistock in 1932. He came to the U.S. in 1933 as a "refugee", the first of many infiltrators, and set up the Harvard Psychology Clinic, which originated the propaganda campaign to turn the American public against Germany and involve us in World War II.

Subject: Jim Page interview

Q. Tell us briefly a little bit about yourself

A. Well, I'm a singer and song writer and I live in Seattle, Washington, in the US. I've been a professional musician for over 30 years and I've made about a dozen recordings. Since many of my songs deal with political or social situations I am often thought of as a "protest singer," a word that I don't use myself. To me the word "protest" sounds like a little child refusing to clean up his room. We live in a world where our lives are affected by political forces and I believe we have an obligation to address these things. You shouldn'd ask why I sing these songs, you should ask other people don't. Anyway, I love my work, and I like to think that it helps to contribute in some small way to the greater good.

What about the terrorist attacks and the war?

A. That's a big one. America has never been hit before like that, so massively on the home ground. You could feel the shock, waiting for the next blow. And then the question: how would we retaliate? Because America has a war economy. It is not a peaceful country, no matter what they tell you. We have an illegitimate president who wasn't even elected, and when he was governor in Texas he led the country in executions. His father was head of the CIA at one time during the Vietnam war when the Phoenix Program caused the death of about 25,000 people. As President in 1991 he created Operation Desert Storm, the bombings on Iraq, killing 250,000 in six weeks. So this could be like a family tradition, and you have to think about these things.

Inside the US we have known for a long time about the plans that are in place to deal with national emergencies - how dissidents would be rounded up and placed in disused military bases, all rights suspended, etc. This all came out years ago. The prospects are scary. So we watch. There is talk of national ID cards, expanded surveilance by security forces. They say people will be "willing to give up whatever rights are necessary." It was Clinton who gave us a general in charge of America, as part of the Joint Cheifs Of Staff, and now Bush gives us Homeland Defense. The police and the military have been sharing weapons and tactics for some time. Most cities have special riot control units , called SWAT teams. They have armored personel carriers and chemical weapons. We saw all this stuff in Seattle at the WTO and it's been out front ever since. It's all part of a pattern. I predict that we will see a lot more open repression, that it will become harder to organize demonstrations, that direct action may actually become deadly. We will see.

But that's just us - people in the rest of the world will suffer greatly if these creeps have their way. I mean, they don't even know who did it and they want to go bombing all over the place. Bush has basically declared a war on the world.

The whole world? Yes. What he said was "You're either with us or you're with the terrorists." That's like saying, either you cooperate or we'll irradiate you with DU bullets for the next 4,5 billion years. You have to remember, back in the 80's when the US was out to get Qadaffi, they were going to bomb the hell out his house, his offices and so on. Well, in the air raids they "accidently" hit the French embassy. Oopse! Well, it came out later that it wasn't an accident at all, that it was done on purpose because France had refused to let the US fly through it's air space on the way to Libia. So watch out world.

Every thinking person must find ways to resist and to raise awareness. They have called for a united front of violence and we must declare a united front of alternative intelligence.

The bright side of this is that it has opened up a field of debate that was unheard before. Right out in the main stream, in editorials and on so on, people are asking if American foreign policy isn't at least partly responsible for the rage that ended up in the tragedies of last month. I guess it's the fear and the realization that we are vulnerable after all, that we are not Superman, that has made people ask these most important questions. There is a mountain of angry flags to battle against, plus the legitimate anger and sorrow, but it has to be done. There are the beginnings of a new anti war movement - built partly on the anti globalization forces of the last few years, and also the memories and lessons of Vietnam - and perhaps it will become revolutionary. I hope so. There may not be much time.

Subject: Interesting discussion on the theme of Resistance

"Daniel M. Kolos" <damilos@bmts.com> wrote:

'Resistance' quite naturally functions in Nature: a forest will offer resistance to the wind. But there is a 'balance of Nature', a 'Ma'at'. (Ma'at is the ancient Egyptian Goddess of Balance, Harmony and Universal Order) When this part of Nature I am describing is in balance, the forest will slow down the winds long enough to capture its clouds and cause them to rain.

And Claude Rifat <cyrano@aqua.ocn.ne.jp> replied:

Your emphasis on the word resistance is very important as all biological structures resist change.

If we try to coerce a bear, for example,of course, it will resist like all life forms and the bear will become, gradually, more and more "violent".

Why is it that we, human beeings, have suddenly and nearly ex-nihilo started to condemn resistance?

Simply put: because some elements of mankind benefit from non-resistance, namely the predatory human beeings who "feed" on other human beeings and these predatory human beeings are on top of our societies and form, now, an international elite who thinks of itself first.

The attacks of september 11th merely show that, in the global community of mankind, some sub-structures of this global structure are trying to unbalance the whole, thus the resistance of some other sub-structures.

Whatever the resistance looks to our eyes, it is not resistance which is pathological, since all organisms resist one another. What would be pathological is the absence of resistance!

What is pathological is the loss of Balance,"Maât", the development and generalisation of monothought, which is a disrupting process since it introduces strong polarisation and, thus, increased intra-specific aggression.

Monothinkers are a force of promotion of entropy within the global structure of mankind.

Whoever they are, being Ben Laden, Bush, Ariel Sharon, Yasser Arafat, etc, etc, monothinkers function a bit like a cancerous process within an organism since the net result of their activity is to **destroy the global organism and its differentiated structures**.

If there was any monothinker winning the "game", it would merely mean than mankind has been overgrown by a cancerous metastasis and would be en route towards full-blown robotisation.

Ultimately, and in the succession of times, I think polythought will prevail because it contains the essence of Balance,Harmony, "Maât" and because it is a "superior" (more complex) form of Thought.

Until we reach this higher form of intelligence, monothought should be resisted by trying to create the Noosphere that Teilhard de Chardin was talking about,a sphere of Thought, where diversity and communication within this diversity are understood to balance the whole global structure.

Let psychisms speciate and ramify but not invade the whole

Daniel M. Kolos - continued:

The point is that 'resistance' is not a pathology. Resistance is the mirror of co-existence.

Everything that exists resists everything else that exists.

This commonality of resistance as the basis of coexistence is also at the heart of Quantum Physics. David Boehm aptly summed this pervasive effect we have on everything, including one another as 'participation'. We participate not only in each other's lives, but also with everything else that exists.

And later on he added (in part)

"Why is it that we, human beings, have suddenly and nearly ex-nihilo started to condemn resistance?"

There has been a concerted effort in the West for a hundred years or more to listen to and depend upon 'authorities' rather than follow one's own instincts and intelligence. A surgeon can replace a worn-out heart but cannot cure a common cold. More doctors die of self-inflicted diseases (from alcoholism, nicotine dependence and drug addiction, to name a few) that the general population. And we are urged to listen to them!? But if we do, and listen to all the authorities, then our natural instincts for resistance (and learning) slowly disappears. - CLIP

There are no disturbing headlines or graphic pictures in the media. A war has not been declared. Nor is there a coalition of irate citizens coming together to decry a domestic or foreign potentate. There are not just 6,000 victims but millions. It didn't all happen within an hour, but, it has been the ongoing, insidious destruction of the physical and financial health of unsuspecting and trusting human beings over the last twenty years or so. We call it collectively, Chemically Induced Immune Disorders which are caused primarily by our love affair with unnatural, toxic substances. These toxic substances have been foisted upon us by irresponsible corporations, through misinformation by their advertisers and with the complete approval of a government sworn to, and paid by us, to protect us from such harm. Additionally, our seriously flawed, Pasteur germ focused medical industry, completes the task of further damaging these immune compromised individuals by dispensing certain common pharmaceuticals which destroy gut flora. Since the gut flora is an integral part of our protective immune system, once destroyed, we are vulnerable to any pathogen (always present in the Earth's environment) to which we are exposed. The most common pathogens involved are viruses such as HIV, Hepatitis, Cytomegalovirus, herpes, etc. Other common pathogens in this population are Candida Albacans (fungal overgrowth), parasitic infestation and sometimes bacterial infections.

Call it AIDS, Gulf War Syndrome, Environmental Illness, Hepatitis C Epidemic, Silicone Prosthesis Induced Immune Disorder, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia Syndrome, etc., all of which share many, if not all, of the same litany of debilitating, AIDS-like symptoms heretofore mostly unheard of before the 1980's. History shows us that there is more than an obvious connection between the politics of the time and the dismantling of many existing environmental laws. And secondly, the over-prescribing of gut flora destroying, uncontested pharmaceuticals drugs.

There are no volunteers lined up to help; many times family, friends and associates withdraw out of frustration or fear. There are no collections to help defray the out-of-pocket cost for the natural therapies required just to remediate the symptoms.

Government, the medical industry and the media no longer mention much about this enormous and growing tragedy. The future of much of Mankind is in great jeopardy unless these signals of the HUMAN indicator species, described here, are heeded.

This is a boycott against the eight biggest pesticide companies in the world, but it is much more than that. It's a boycott against THE POWER and against a way of life represented by all the gigantic multinational corporations, which every day extend their control over the planet. By the time you finish reading this material you'll realize how destructive their power is, in detail. You'll understand more clearly why these simple stark things need to be done:

1. stop buying these corporations' products;
2. don't buy their stock on whatever exchanges they're traded;
3. demand that others including institutions sell their stock in these companies;
4. don't work for these corporations;
5. find a way to personally pass on the word.

The eight corporations to be boycotted are:

Du Pont
Imperial Chemical Industries
Rhone Poulenc

There is one overriding reason for going after these eight corporations. They are all forwarding genetic projects to engineer food seeds so that our food supply in the fields will accept much higher doses of herbicides without curling up and dying. This will drench both the soil and our bodies with corporate toxic chemicals and improve their profit statements.

Of course, these mega-companies are up to their eyeballs in poisons. Poisons, you might say, are their life. These corporations and others like them stand for control of the planet, as around us the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

Huge multinationals, of course blur with governments, thereby availing themselves of important political connections, intelligence agencies, military links.
